Im a girly girl at heart and hate wading through lake muck. These worked perfectly. They were comfortable and no leaks. I spent hours on end picking lake weeds with no gripes. And no leeches stuck to me!
I used these waders to go surf fishing within days of receiving them. Im pretty happy, typically surf fishing in California you eventually get hit with an unexpected wave and end up with sand everywhere. Basically turns a nice beach fishing trip into not the most comfortable. I used these in waist high surf and was very happy. Im a big guy 46 waist and a 32 inseam with size 13 feet. The size 14 waders is a comfortable fit wearing thick sox.
Pros
/ straps and buckles are very wide, durable and very comfortable
/ the boots have good grip and are actually comfortable to walk in (i.e. the walk back to the car)
/ the pocket in front is a nice high spot to store your phone and fishing licence
Cons
/ the hanging strap that is included is a nice touch but the boots tend to fold over. Havent had it for a while but I dont see this being good for the rubber long term. Ill stuff it with some paper so the boots hold there shape
I had a hard time finding waders for myself, a short woman, but these did the job! I am 5ft 2in and 130 lbs, shoe size slender 6 1/2. I appreciated the sturdy boots for navigating the rocky shorelines, I was able to wear 3 pairs of socks (Yellowstone Lake was very cold) and still be comfortable with the water pressure on my feet. As a short person, this was the only pair I found where the sholder straps didnt cut awkwardly into the back of my neck. However, I had to use 2 large safety pins on the straps because they did not adjust high enough for my height. They were baggy until going into the water, and then just perfect with a little extra room to be comfortable. Very grateful to have found these waders!
Durability unknown, since brand new.will update after several months of use.
Fit is very misleading.dont know why they yell you to order one size up if wearing a heavy sock.hell, you need the heavy sock because the width is about a EEEE.so even with a very heavy sock, I am still swimming around in the boot, making assured footing somewhat precarious
Ripped at the top from a branch the first time I worn it. It very hot to wear when its already hot outside and I got the biggest one size 14 and it still wasnt long enough couldnt hardly bend my knees
What has happened to pride behind the name of a company ? Well. they forgot that my waders were sewn together by a 5yr old or a blind man the stitching along the bottom of the gravel guards are the furthest thing from a straight line, half the stitches fell off the fabric all together. And due to this the tab that connects to the laces fell off so I had to put it back on companies keep raising their prices for stuff and quality continues to decline. Where is the Pride ? And do they not comprehend that consumers will not spend more money on their other items if their initial purchase failed ? Repeat customers are gained by great products which these were not.
I use mine in Alaska for Salmon fishing on the Russian and Kenai Rivers. Great Fit, Easy movement, No frills and looks great. Easy to patch when you decide to stick a hook through them
I have only used these waders a few times, however they have worked very well. The email for support does not work, however that was not an issue. I got a fly hook stuck in these on the first day out. After a while of being in the water, there was some leakage, however it was on my upper leg and I dont usually wade that deep. I used these several other times after this and they have kept me completely dry. I ordered my size and they were somewhat big, but will be ok if I later up for cold water fishing.
