Ive had this product for about a year. I think its a great loft bed for what youre paying.
I put it together myself, and you have to lean some parts against something to attach other parts but its doable. Easier with two people but doable.
IMPORTANT: Save the assembly instructions because for the most part they have you put it together in the easiest order as possible.
Otherwise, if you ever have to disassemble it, youll be looking at it and wondering how to reassemble it again and thinking.duh.
You probably can down load the instructions from the manufacturers website, but still, why hassle with that if you dont have to?
I compared the structural way it was built with other loft beds on ; the placement of the cross pieces and such, and I think they used the least amount of material while making it structurally sound so as to keep the cost down.
It shakes slightly when climbing up/down the ladder and squeaks a little but its solidly built. However, I didnt attach it to the wall (and I cant remember if they supplied hardware to do so), so its free standing but still very sturdy. Theres a lot of metal beams in this building and I didnt want to mess with it.
Some comments are about some shaking.
If people want something that is absolutely squeak and shake/free youd have to use gauge steel like the heavy duty metal stocking shelves in Home Depot.
Itd cost hundreds of dollars then.
My friend occasionally climbs on while Im on it. The combined weight is about 260 lbs. Theres no sign of it collapsing or tilting.
I have it set up in the living room of my apartment with a computer desk underneath it and it blends in nicely. Very cool.
Its airy open build and black finish doesnt give the living room a cramped closed in feel.
Its a guest bed but Ive been sleeping in it for about a year since Im helping my friend get it together and shes in the bedroom. Ive slept very deeply on it. I bought the mattress and padding on too. Its very comfortable; I sleep so soundly.
One main vertical beam was dented which I didnt notice until it was assembled. They had me take a photo and and they quickly sent out another one.
The only thing Id say is the ladder rungs dig into the feet and feel uncomfortable but Ive used that water pipe insulation foam that wrap around water pipes and its very comfortable; however, after a while the foam splits apart and you have to replace it. I have to figure something out. But really, this is no big deal in the overal picture.
I think all around its a great value and you wont be disappointed.
Weve had this for about a month. It is very sturdy and went together fairly quickly / I think it was a few hours all together. My 8/year old loves it, Ive told his older brothers they are not to sleep up there, mainly because I dont want them climbing up and down. But I think it will hold up as long as they dont treat it like a jungle gym! We have a queen bed underneath it, and there is plenty of room for it. It looks great, too. The room seems so much more spacious now!
This bed was perfect for me at my second apartment . It fit into my car to bring upstate with me and then I assembled it ALONE in the apartment . Would be easier with two people but I managed. I love the bed so much! The ladder hurts my feet when getting up and down but other than that great product.
Easy to put together. I had no issues with either of mine. I bought 2. Funny thing is Ive seen a few of these boxes in my apartment complex dumpster. I must not be the only one attracted this space saving, sturdy bed.
We are moving into a smaller house temporarily while we work on building and my sons room is quite a bit smaller so I wanted something that took up very little floor space and this did the job! It is very tall under neither (I have a 5 year old who is on the tall side and he can barley touch the bottom with his fingertips) and it is also very sturdy.doesnt wiggle a bit when I push on it. I read a lot of the reviews before purchasing and just wanted to comment on some of those: 1. The pieces didnt fully line up/ When your dealing with metal and pieces that join together at multiple points it is best to put in a bolt just enough to attach it at one point and then the rest of the points and then go back and tighten them all up. If you tighten one side all the way down then it may be out of alignment with the other point. 2. Its wobbly / Make sure all bolts are as tight as you can physically get them and all pieces are pushed all the way in. If its not tightened properly it will wobble. 3. It was to tall to the ceiling for my kid / You can check the dimensions before buying and measure how tall your ceilings are. This is a very tall bed, so its probably made more for a child, not a full grown person. My 5 year old can sit up with plenty of head room.
Also, just a piece of advice.the box it is shipped in is VERY heavy! I am a fairly strong woman and it took everything I had to get it in the house by dragging it. Most of putting it together can be done alone but it will take 2 people when it comes to attaching the two end pieces to the side bars.
My kids loves these. The ladders that are made on them are narrow and the step parts are thin and kind of hurt your feet. But easily fixed with a pool noodle
I bought the Your Zone Metal Loft Twin Bed (black). Im sure this bed is intended for children, but I am an adult living in a small space.
Size:
The bed holds 225 pounds, I assume my mattress is between 30/60 lbs, and I am 145 lbs, so I am probably pushing this bed to its limits. I am 52, so I can stand underneath it as long as my knees are slightly bent, and I can sit up straight on my mattress, but my head is very close to the ceiling. The side rails are roughly 5/6 taller than my mattress, which made me nervous, but I do not move around a lot while sleeping, so I have not had any close calls so far. It would not be hard to add a barrier between the rails and mattress to add some height.
Sturdiness:
I have been using this bed for a few days now, and the bed wobbles when I climb the ladder or move while on the bed, but it does not feel like it will fall over or break. Again, I am an adult (52 145lbs), so children may experience less of a wobble.
Putting it together:
The hardest part was bringing the box into the house. It was very heavy. Once the pieces were all laid out, following the instructions was very easy.
Space saver:
It has completely changed my living space. I put my office underneath the bed. The simple design (compared to other loft beds) gives you more freedom to utilize the space for your particular needs.

Altitude!
Other than altitude sickness on the bed itself it is a perfect loft bed. Challenging but not impossible to assemble. Yay!
Sturdy and well
My son loves this bed. Sturdy and well made
Exactly as described

Overall happy with it
Slightly wobbly, but I know it wont fall. Overall happy with it.
But easily fixed with a pool

Wobbles a little, but great for the price
