The first 3 boxes arrived first and the 4th box came a few days later (I think its because theyre different size boxes). The assembly definitely took a while but pushing through can be done in a day (my husband and I are intermediate level builders for these types of projects). My 11 year old daughter also helped (she is also intermediate skill level). Once its done its beautiful. The drawers are slightly smaller than expected but still hold quite a bit. The stoppers for the night stands are just little wooden dowels so if they fall out we may use some wood glue but so far is holding. Once together it is quite heavy. Dont try to move it on your own. My husband was stubborn and pulled his groin . The frame is super sturdy! We have a memory foam mattress and my husband is NOT a small man but he is not snoring nearly as loud as before. I think the support is helping with that! Overall very happy with this purchase.
This frame is very well put together and is very sturdy. Ive been able to move most of my items in my closet and with some nifty organization, I was able to fit most items into the bed frame itself clearing out tons of space. Assembly is very long and tedious but very easy to follow as long as you dont rush yourself. Use power tools, but be careful you dont strip out any screws. This makes the assembly twice as quick. Other than that, I love the product and design
It was not the easiest to assemble, but I can appreciate why some of the pilot holes werent pre/drilled; because not everyone has a perfectly level floor. The fact the bed is SOLID wood and not Weetabix (particle board with a veneer) is REALLY nice and it will last a long time. Every section of the instructions gives you tips on adjustments to make the drawers fit properly. The mattress frame, while a pain to fit with having to make holes in some cases (youll see), seems sturdy enough.
Pro tips:
Have work gloves. DEFINITELY HAVE A MALLET. ONLY assemble with a buddy, the fact they say to do so is not a challenge, you could seriously damage pieces if attempting to go solo. From previous experience, keep the manual and extra hardware together to make it easier to put back together after a move. It will take 8/10 hours to assemble unless youre a super pro at this stuff.
My only complaint is I had a non cosmetic part with a knot that popped out of place, ma wood glue and vice grips handy to have available.
The build is state of the art . the time i open the box is all sealed and not open all new Not like the others (Store Winsome Wood Melba Buffet coffee )they will give you the one mix with return and tape the box.
I saw mixed thoughts in the reviews for how much time assembly would take. I loved the look of this bed and the storage options, so I went ahead and got the Bed and the Headboard. They arrived at around noon. It was a total of 7 boxes for the Bed and Headboard. I figured with my wife getting home around 6, I would have plenty of time to surprise her

The total assembly time for bed and headboard was 12.5 hours (this includes time unpac all the components). I did this solo, and they do recommend 2 people to be fair. Ive build plenty of bookshelves, beds, dressers, and desks from , but this was another beast altogether. Many of the parts arent labeled, so you just have to eyeball it and hope you are using the correct ones.
After the 12.5 hours, am I happy with the bed? Absolutely, it looks and functions wonderfully! However, I would just pay someone to do this if I were to ever do it again. It was far too tedious.

Took a while to assemble but i just used non power tools. Its pretty sturdy. Other than price and assembly, i would have given it 5 stars.
