We love the shade this umbrella gives and its very sturdy when you add the weighted slabs. You must purchase the weights otherwise it wont hold itself up fully open with any wind
At first it appeared a part was missing as I could not mount the umbrella properly. However, it turned out that there was a stopper one of the pieces that needed prevented one of the pieces from going in. This required creativity in order to ensure the stopper was out of the way (used a small pencil to secure it in place while sliding in the metal pole).
Secondly, the part that is supposed to be used to adjust the direction the umbrella faces is defective! It does not work at all.
Lastly, unless you want the sandbag aesthetic, Id recommend getting a regular umbrella with a base it slides into. This was so unnecessarily complicated!! Either that or you need to drill it into the ground/pavement.
10ft provides very good coverage. It is easy to assemble and install. You might need to keep heavy sandbags on the base to ensure that it does not topple.
Love it!
The plastic ring that sits between the two vertical metal bars was cracked, but it didnt hinder the assembly or function. Did need two people to assemble.just to get the top bar raised.
Once assembled, easy to raise and lower, even for my arthritic hands. We anchored it with four bags of pea gravel, since sand wasnt available.
Went to set up and open the umbrella for the first time and the crank fell right off. Didnt even get to use it at all. Not even once. Very disappointed.
The base does not come with it. The one I ordered falls over because there is no bass to hold it sturdy to the ground. I have to go by sandbags to make sure that doesnt tip over. Overall a good purchase.
This umbrella is great for the price point. Its not super sturdy in even gentle winds even when using an attached base filled with water and sand and with paving stones placed on top of that. The mechanism that raises and lowers the umbrella is plastic, so it may not hold up over time, though its doing fine after three weeks of near daily use. All that said, Im still pleased with the purchase. There are no other offset umbrellas of this size at this price point.

sandbags or nailing it to the ground will be essential, difficult to assemble

Good Value for the Money
Very pleased with the size and value for the money. Be sure to buy a supporting stand because it is heavy.
Overall a good purchase. Please note that there is no base to hold it in place.

Decent for the price
