Good price for a chaise lounge with pad. The pad was thinner than an earlier model I bought years ago. Since there are no wheels on it, it is more difficult to move. It weighs over fifty pounds. It is sturdy. It is easy to assemble: six screws with alum wrench included. Left outside with no overhead protection, my last chaise wore out in over three years. The base is an improved design with three x-shaped spring braces instead of solid crossbars, allowing for more comfort even with a thinner pad.
They went together fast and are cool to the touch in places that your skin contacts. The metal parts get quite hot though, so you have to store them in a shady area before use unless toure careful sitting down.
I've had this for about 2 weeks now. Unfortunately they designed the support cross beams with minimal bow, so even being new, the seat fabric is bowed to almost touching them without any weight on it. Sit or lay on it and right away you're on one or more bows. One bow is right where your butt is when using it in the sitting up position. The build quality is reflected in the poorly welded wheel connection, shown with one wheel at a sever angle when assembled. It's a poor design. Returning it would be a major hassle, it appears I'm stuck with a very uncomfortable lounge chair.
Assembly, looks, sturdiness, and color is all great but not comfortable!! Not just uncomfortable but PAINFUL to sit in. Not sure if they changed to design or this one just wasn't build well. The fabric is not tight so you always are sitting/laying on the support bar no matter what adjustment is set at. Even laying down. With no pressure there is only a inch and a half of space. Just slightly pressing with my hand it is already pressing on the bar. There is just no way to sit up comfortably without you tailbone in pain.
Returned same day.
One of the chair is coming up on the left side. It immediately happened. We tried using a screwdriver and hammer to get the seating back in but once you sit down it immediately comes out. Seems like a big issue for a $175 chair. Please advise on how to get a replacement.
These pictures are what the chair looks like after a 9 year old who weighs 60 pounds and a 7 year old who weighs 50 pounds sit on it.
