Great product, and the company really stands behind their product! Even an issue I had that I admitted was my fault, they still bent over backwards to help. Their parts could have been a little better labeled, so be careful when to use 20, 30, or 40mm screws. Other than that, its great. Its really wobbly unless you anchor it to the house. I opted not to use the drywall anchors they gave, I dont trust strength of drywall or plaster. Instead I made two plywood cleats, anchored those to studs, then anchored the bed to the plywood. Now its solid as a rock. As an added bonus I added LED lights (not included) to the underside of the loft...kids get a kick out of those. EDIT: as far as mattress fit, the picture shows it with a BedInABox Original twin mattress.
The bed itself was pretty easy to assemble as long as you’re good with instructions and patience. It’s pretty sturdy alone but offers the option to bolt it into the wall for extra support but I didn’t deem that necessary. It’s beautiful and very convienent. There was a small shipping dilemma but the seller worked with me expeditiously, and with flawless communication to make sure I recieved the goods in an efficient manner. One of the best sellers I’ve ever worked with and I would highly recommend the bed and the seller to anyone
Assembly took me and my 13 year old son about 1.5 hours. I used my cordless drill and set the driver to 7 with an allen key driver. It probably knoked 45 minutes and sore hands off the job.
YOU MUST pay close attention to the details of the drawing. I found myself moving 2 pieces because I did not pay attention to where the holes were on the drawing. Everything was labeled and easy to manipulate.
YOU MUST assemble in place or as close to where you want it as possible. Im taller and pretty fit so I was able to center it and lift it on my shoulders so we could move it into place. Not recommended... Need at least 2 strong people to move 3-4 so you dont bend anything. It is heavy probably 150 lbs
Once completely assembled it is very sturdy. I recommend this to anyone. Just be prepared for the assembly it can seem a little difficult at times. You will need two people at a point to attach the legs. All in all a great buy it came packaged well with no damage.
