    Not Very Sturdy

Bought this for my 8/year/old son, who really wanted a loft bed so that he could have more floor space in his small bedroom. He liked that it was metal instead of wood, that the ladder was built into the bedframe instead of extending out into the floor space. Instructions were not clear, and assembly difficult because you had to try to line up the screws and bolts by feel.which took some time.because they screwed together within the poles, so you had no view of them to get them lined up to join together. When we finally got it assembled, the whole bedframe was wobbly. No hardware was provided to tether the frame to the wall to prevent tipping. (I have since manufactured my own anti/tip system. Note: We had to place the frame in the corner to help prevent wobbling from side to side as well as forward and backwards. My son had hoped to have his loft bed away from the corner of his room). I wanted to return the loft bed, but my son really wanted to keep it. After strapping the frame to the wall, and surrounding the bottom half of the frame with heavy dressers, the bedframe is more stable, but this purchase limited setting up the bedroom the way we had planned.

Good value but assembly is a bit challenging.

First one I bought was lost in the warehouse or in shipping and took a month to arrive. The box was damaged but I was compensated with a discount for the delay and some scratches. Assembly was a bit confusing and difficult. Definitely need multiple people, especially when putting the mattress poles in place. Also good to have an electric impact drill with hex bit. I decided to buy a second one to match for my younger son and the assembly was easier the second time. Things I dislike: The ladder steps are not very comfortable on the feet. Also, one of our mattresses is lighter than the other and the bed with the lighter mattress makes light rattling noises when my son moves around. Overall, its a decent value as similar lofts were more expensive. Its not the highest quality but it met my expectations for the price I paid.

    Good but not Ikea quality

Some pieces come in the package clean and some come dirty as pictured. At first I thought it was rust dust but its just red earth. No idea why its dirty. The bed is pretty easy to put together EXCEPT the part that the mattress lays on. That shit took like five tries to put together and you definitely need two people and patience. Its easiest if you prop it up on its side and have the rods standing vertical so you can sort of cap it with the other side piece. Youll understand when you assemble this bed. I read some other reviews that the screws were hard to get to line up and its true but I found if you had patience and didnt try to force it, the thread finds its place and the screw is able to screw in. This bed was a test of patience. Make your sure you have snacks and water on hand. Took about three hours to assemble everything. Ive slept in it for two nights now and its does move and wobble as you get in and out and when you shift around in bed. I will be anchoring mine to the wall for greater stability as it l moves more than my previous Ikea loft bed (which I never had to anchor in the six years I owned it, even after two disassemblings and reassemblings). This one I doubt will last as long as the Ikea beds. But I do like the placement of the ladder better and they come with flat ladder rungs and rubber to cover the rungs with so your feet dont hurt. I havent seen any sagging or bending of the mattress supports. I am just at the top of weight range for the bed so I was worried after reading reviews. All in all, its a nice bed and for the price its worth it. I appreciate the aesthetic of it which is why i opted for this bed over an ikea loft bed. The ikea beds currently available are very ugly and the ladders push out into the room while this beds ladder is straight vertical and thus takes up no extra space. Perfect for a small bedroom or studio apartment.

It was very good for a small room. Definitely a bargain for the money.

    To sum it up

I prefer wood when buying a bed because its usually sturdier. However, this product is very nice especially for the price tag. Its minimalistic and it allows me to put whatever I desire underneath it. My order did have a slight issue. The metal pedals for the ladder were not included but mistakes do happen. The customer service was polite and very helpful. They sent me a discount and a replacement item. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Best bed of this variety on the market.

I have now purchased 4 beds of this type. 3 from and 1 from Ikea. This is the only one that proved to be worth the money. Its a shame that its no longer available. I wanted another just like it but settled for a different model that was a total letdown.

Great. I love it and so does my kid.

The instructions could be a little clearer but over all was just fine to put together but im pretty good with instructions. Take your time, get the bed together before you tighten everything down. This will help you adjust holes and make sure its square. But its sturdy. Hardly wobbles at all.
