This is such a beautiful canopy bed. I purchased it for my 4 year old daughter and she is in love with it. Great value for the price and very sturdy. I have no complaints. Definitely 5 stars !
My daughter loves this bed! I will say the bottom slats are low so you do need a box spring for the bed to be at the correct height. It was easy to put together until the one bolt that wasnt lined up correctly. It took some forcing to get it together but eventually it all worked out. Our 11 year old son helped put it together even.
This is a beautiful addition to our daughters room. She wanted sheer drapes hung from it so we added those with ribbon as shower loops are all to small for the top bars as they are rectangular.
The bed is sturdy and perfect for our tween to have for many years to come.
Love my bed its a pretty color I put the head foot boards together by myself but had my son help me connect the bed together yes you will need 2 persons to complete
Bed came boxed and packed pretty securely. Heavy beast of a thing, so be sure to have some help. I screwed up big time ordering this bed, which is designed for a box spring. Seriously, who uses box springs anymore? Anyway, after doing a mass buy of new beds for my 3 kids and a guest room, I was so focused on looks and reviews mentioning sturdiness that I overlooked that important part.
Realizing this AFTER I unboxed it, having built 2 other platform canopy beds and noticing no s/rods my heart sunk. Refusing to go out to buy box springs for her foam mattress, off to furniture/mattress stores I went for slats. No one carries them and I wasnt about to travel 50 miles to ikea for their drop in slats. Off to Home Depot I went, got twelve 53.8 boards cut and nylon rope to staple down each side to roll up the slats in the future. Done! Crap, they dont drop in cause theres no support along the frame to hold the slats.
Went back to Home Depot, because NO ONE gets everything they need for the project the first time. Found 72 flat bars I could use as lips and center support for the slats. Used Velcro in the underside to keep them in place and bam, now Im done. Now this bed, which was really sturdy and heavy, just got armored up as the slats gave this more rigidity and weight. Its actually now more solid than my other daughters canopy beds.
Would buy again, but will likely never have to. If I did, it would have to be a platform version this time.
