Hardest part of assembly is getting all the slats in the headboard lined up for assembly.
I ran into confusion over which screw to use for the metal brackets because Im an idiot and did not read closely. The two of the three smaller wood screws are not in order by size on the listing so I think it tossed my over organized layout off.
hint the smallest screws go for the bracket in the center beam
It comes in a super skinny box and I thought the delivery guys forgot the second box, but no. The footboard and headboard are in there too!
Just finished setting it up and it really wasnt that bad for how many pieces there was.
Slats are pretty thick and flexible so they should hold up well enough for a kid jumping on the mattress. The footboard interior panel is really thin. Almost like compressed fiberboard or something. Just for looks and not load bearing so it should be fine.
Will update as time goes.
I bought this as a replacement bed for my teenage daughter and she is pleased. The bed frame itself is made of good quality materials, but some of the screws are a bit flimsy. It was somewhat difficult to follow the installation instructions - I had to do some deciphering and make some assumptions. However, I managed to get through the entire installation without having to disassemble anything.
Nice looking bedframe that seems sturdy (so far). It was easy to assemble, and while it would have been quicker with two people, I was able to assemble it by myself without issue. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the pieces, and think it will hold up well. It is a bit taller than I expected, I can easily slide an 11x11 fabric bin under the bed, but since I don't have a boxspring (not required with slats), it isn't too tall for me to get into bed. The pieces are clean, well labeled, and the white paint looks nice. I would recommend this bed frame.
ASSEMBLY ADVICE: Get a bottle of wood glue (4oz is plenty) and use it during assembly for the head and footboard assembly (both ends). Using it on the headend slats means that they don't clack around or make a noise as they are otherwise loose in their slots. Using it on every other joint and groove where you find 'bare wood' just makes it all extra sturdy. Don't use too much glue otherwise it will ooze out or drip, but you can wipe it off. Some people have said they found it didn't quite go together right or they had to modify but mine was perfect.
This goes together really easily but do follow the instructions. I bought several so the first one took longer - the main thing is to ensure that everything goes the right way up and the right way round as several parts could go either way and you don't want to take it apart and flip it once you realise - and you can't if you've glued!. In particular, ensure that the central support bar is horizontal and right under the base slats. If it's at an angle, you've got the footboard piece upside down.
Note: This appears to be the same as another product under a different brand. I'd bought that one previously but it was out of stock so I bought this one instead and all parts seems to be identical. Search for B06XSN7CQ1 if this one is out of stock.
