The bed came with all parts needed with all nuts, bolts and tools in a sealed package. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Just pay special attention to the orientation of the side rails and the guard rail holes when assembling. I've had the bed up since Christmas and it's still in perfect shape. My daughter is your average 5 year old and it holds up well.
Built the bed for my 3 year old and he loves it. It has the side rails and was easy to put together. The only thing keeping it from 5 star for me is the fact one of the boards cracked while putting it together. It's not a deep crack and still going to use the bed but will need to replace in about a year I feel as our little gets older. I will keep an eye on the crack and update if anything changes.
Cons:
1)Manual was incorrect on one of the steps, so the headboard and baseboard ended up on the wrong sides. Easy fix
2)Chips very easily, will probably have to repaint within a year.
3)Very cheap material, I would be surprised if it lasts longer than 2 years

but was able to figure it out fairly easily.

The only struggle was having to create 4 holes with the screws (it tells you to) and it was a lot harder than they made it seem. The good part is its all done and the bed is in tact and very durable. My daughter loves it so much she stayed in it since we put it in her room!
