    Brawn and brains assembly project

Some of the pieces fit a little iffy and the drawers are very shallow. But overall an ingenious idea for a smaller guest room. We put brawn and brains together on the assembly. And my daughter, the organizer brains, and my boyfriend, the very patient , do it right the first time, brawn. Got it together in a little over 90 minutes. We think thats a record from reading all the other reviews! Satisfy my aesthetic

Fit and finish not quite right.

Needed something to double as a sitting area and a guest bed for single or couples. This fit the bill and at a decent price. Looks nice. Has a few issues though. The pieces had a few scratches, an exposed staple, and the finish was damaged in one area upon unboxing (see picture). Thankfully all of these are in areas where they really arent seen once assembled. The listing didnt really say what size mattresses to use, so we bought it and crossed our fingers that the mattresses we already had would fit. They are 8 mattresses and you really have to lift the main bed frame off the ground to fit the pullout underneath with a mattress on it. The biggest issue we had is the pullout doesnt fit into the main bed frame correctly (see picture). The front main support is almost 1 too short for the pullout to fit correctly, which makes it stick out a few inches in front. Its not a big enough deal for us to disassemble, pack it all back up, and return, but it is frustrating that we just paid that much money for something that is flawed. We are trying to figure out a way to modify the frame so it works correctly. Look at the fashion

Lots of pieces, but pretty good product.

We bought almost 2 months ago. Dreaded putting it together with all the pieces. Definitely not from ikea! Went together relatively well, but a few pieces were damaged in shipping, and several were not labeled at all which made assembly harder. One of the pieces had holes that were not used. letter F pictured (no holes in the instructions for F). Very confusing. See photos. Wooden slats are sturdy and do not give, so a softer mattress is probably better to purchase with this. We bought a foam topper mattress and it ended up being more firm that being on the floor even. suitable for me

Sturdy enough for toddlers and adults

For the price this bed is a good value. My husband assembled it by himself in a few hours, the directions are easy enough to follow. We were able to fit a 5inch mattress with sheets in the trundle, but it is a tight fit. Extra bedding has to be stored elsewhere. This is primarily our toddlers bed but after having my older parents visit and sleep on it, I am quite happy with the purchase. The frame held together well for their stay. I was worried it may need reinforcements for adults to sleep on the extended frame but it was fine as is. I would purchase this again if we needed another bed for a guest space. High level of physical

Space saving day bed / king guest bed

I love to have a king size guest bed which doesnt take the space of a king size bed when not in use. Its a regular twin day bed at normal times. After having read other reviews I opted to order two 5 mattresses where you can put one in drawer underneath or both on top of bed when not in king size use. It was easy to put together, step by step, Ikea like. Most day beds with trundle have the trundle in a lower position, like two twin beds side by side, one being lower. I like to have a real king bed to offer for a couple visiting. Of course, this is not made to jump on when opened up. But the construction is sturdy and it looks modern. No complaints, really happy

    Nice

This came in a BILLION pieces. One large box with a billion pieces. Thank goodness my fiancé is a handyman but it still took him 3 hours to assemble. He says it was built poorly for assembly but after all said done, its not too shabby. We have a pretty small living room space so having this day bed worked out nicely. The drawers are kind of fussy if you have a thick blanket its a little harder to fit in the drawer then under the bed. We got two 6 inch foam mattresses for it with the right pillows comforter it can be super cute! It expands into a king it is aming on movie nights. Our 3 pound chihuahua loves it. I really wish at the end of the bed there was a piece of wood there to keep the mattress from sliding off :/ its most likely going to need some reinforcements so it doesnt break down if you plop down on it too hard or after a few times. But all in all its a great day bed for the price even considering the shipping. Id recommend getting a 4 inch foam mattress instead of the 6 in like I did so then you could stack them on top of each other when put away. If we have both stacked on top of each other it feels cry high so we just put one of the mattress in the other room when not in use (which I dont like but w.e.) Id recommend this day bed to friends that cant afford and/or have the space for a couch appearance

    Very nice for the price

Needed clearer directions especially for the slats. So many screws, seems like couldve been designed a little better for the slats. I like the look of the bed. Will test the bed as soon as I receive the mattress. Very durable
