This review is for the Costa Library Base, Coffee Oak finish. I spent about four
hours putting this together. Thats the longest Ive ever spent putting together furniture. The instructions are very well written, but there are a lot of steps. One of the most important things to do is make the proper adjustments to the drawer and doors. For example, when I first put the drawer in, the doors clipped the bottom of it. So I loosened the screws in the drawer rails, shifted the drawer up a little bit and retightened. This is made possible because the holes in the metal rails are large enough to have some play in them. If you have patience and follow the instructions and diagrams carefully, youll be rewarded with a very sturdy and great looking piece of furniture. I am very happy with it.
This piece is seriously one of my favorites! I was skeptical because of the reviews, but Im glad I decided to ignore them. Yes the instructions arent wonderful, however, if your good at paying attention to detail building this cabinet is not an issue. And if you ACTUALLY build it right, it WILL come out perfect.
I have to admit, my boyfriend attempted to put this together for me while I was at work (he has little attention to detail lol), he sounded like most of the bad reviews, and was pissed at this cabinet. I got home and finished it in 40 minutes (love projects, and have attention for detail). I think it just depends on the person building I guess, most complaints sound like user error to me lol no issues on my end!
I love that everything is screwed together and where there are dowels they give u wood glue as well. This is a very sturdy and easy to put together cabinet . Highly suggest it
As you can hear in the video there is a little rub when doors are opened but that doesnt bother me. I wont be opening it a lot as just using for office storage but will see if my husband can adjust. Matches perfectly to desk I bought at same time on . Setting up a new home office. Very solid and sturdy piece. Very good quality. I can lift this by myself and move around the room, but at the same time it is a little heave (sturdy). Would recommend.
We were so pleased with this piece! The assembly was a bit time consuming but the directions are very clear. We were pleasantly surprised at the sturdiness of the piece.

Worth it for the price!
