It only took me a couple hours to assemble myself. I love this bed! It holds my boyfriend (170 lbs), me (170lbs), my dog (80lbs) and my daughter (45lbs) and hasnt bent or broken anywhere. Easy set up.
It took about 1.5 hours. I would recommend installing your own felt tape on areas where the rubs because there is a sound when you sit on the bed. It was easy to install and matches the pictures! I paired it with satin sheets and black out curtains! Cute.
Weve had this bed less than a year and the bottom middle rods bent and eventually broke off. I tried tightening the bolts before it was broken but that did not help. Will end up squeaking after a few months especially during birds and bees action. Its not as sturdy as I would have like.
I was a little hesitant to order this due to the reviews about it squeaking, but I figured I could add in some felt or rubber pads if needed. After 1/2 way through the assembly I was REALLY hoping I wouldnt have to go back and add those because I wasnt looking forward to disassembling and reassembling. I am happy to say that so far this thing doesnt squeak. We were careful to tighten each piece just right (not overnight, but well secured), so perhaps thats where the squeaking issue is coming into play for others? It definitely takes more than one person for atleast putting the piece up on the posts. Its a great frame for a really great price. Love it.
Was surprised at the grade and quality when it made it to my house. Not a scratch or dent and the bolts and brackets and split washers didnt break during assembly. Paper packaging those parts were messy as they would slide all over. Overall doable even with just yourself. The assembly was tricky as i mounted half and try to slightly bend to connect it to the poles rather than following the entire instruction of full install mount. Easy directions.
