What you see in the image is what you get. Its a pretty cool bed for a kid. Why 3 stars?
When the bed was delivered, it was in the cheapest cardboard they could find. Pieces of cardboard were missing, all four corners were gone it looks like it had been strapped to the top of a car. The box itself weighed over 150 lbs., so I emptied it downstairs brought to my sons room. The framing arrived relatively unscathed, but the desk (Canadas finest imported pressboard) was scatched, crushed and missing laminate.
I called the company for a replacement they were extremely accomidating, sending out the piece via UPS crawl. Greatexcept the 2nd desk was shipped in the thinnest cheapest carboard AND arrived damaged AGAIN. So, I called againstressing the need to reinforce the corners and maybe double box the desk as pressboard is not the most durable wood. Another desk, another damaged piece. As a businessman, why waste the money to ship a 39 lbs. piece across the US not package it for such a journey? So, yes, my sons desk is flawed after three attempts.
Assembly is pretty straightforward. Two flaws in the design are easily rectified. One is that the unit needs to be anchored to a wall. I found bed supports on for 12 that do the trick if the bed is in a corner. If its against a single wall, I would install brackets that screw into two studs screw into the bed. Its a little work, but then the bed wont shift around.
The other thing this company did not take into account is the sound of on of the crossing mattress supports on the main support beam. Any movement on the bed results in a clackety clackety sound. Order a set of either rubber or felt pads, 32 should do the trick place them under every crossmember. All the clanky sound disappears. Between the pads and the supports, its a 20 investment that turns this bed into something your child will love. Part missing otherwise I like it.
Cute. I was able to put this together on my own, it took me 3 hours. This is a sturdy, good quality, kids loft bed with desk shelves. Perfect for my 7yo son. This will last him many years. Very pleased with the end result.
He loves it. It was quite wobbly and we had to buy a mounting system to attach it to the wall to stop it from wobbling so much. Other than that, its a great bed and my son loves it! Especially the desk space for gaming!
works great. This bed was easy to assemble, came new in the box. As for everyones comments on sturdiness if you secure it to the wall with 2 framing screws you cant make this bed shake if you try. I saw some videos of the bed moving while climbing the ladder this solves the problem. You need a drill bit 1/8 and framing screws. Find a stud and drill a hole right under the mattress slats on the frame. My son loves it and already starting hanging blankets on the side to create a fort.
Only con for me was making the bed, tucking the sheets in. Other than that this was an awesome purchase. If you follow the instructions and put all the plastic pieces on the bed slats and tighten all the screws it doesnt make any noise. Any person on here that complained about that was completely user error. If your frame comes scratched or anything I would blame that on the shipping company. Most all the complaints on here are user error or not following instructions.
My daughter love it!!! Assembly took 2h by my husband and 14 yo son. Made my youngest son super happy as it gave space for online school with his small room. Only complaint I got is the sturdiness. It is too shakey for me but Stable enough to hold two kids.
Love it. We bought two of these, one for each of the girls rooms. Added so much more space to small rooms (each 10x12 rooms). The desk is great and the directions made it easy to put together.
Save some money and buy this. I put this bed together by myself in about 2 hours. The bed is a little wobbly, especially when getting on/off. My son is pleased with it, so Im happy if hes happy
Was not lined up correctly so it was difficult to put together, and it squeaks. My 4 year old thinks about moving and it makes noise. Wish I would have went with the wood. Horrible to put together.

Add style and design to small spaces!

Loud and luck of the draw with lining for bolts.

Nice bed but very wobbly.
Great use of space.. nice desk space for a 10 year old but VERY wobbly. Makes me nervous that the bed wont last long To small for the price.
