The bed itself is really quite nice. Well constructed and sturdy. Assembly takes a while simply because there are so many pieces but was easy enough. My only tip is to disregard the 8 (bottom)/6 (top) mattress thickness recommendations. We hd to add a boxspring to the bottom bunk and a bunkie board to the top to add height to the bottm bunk and ensure that we could not feel the crossbars on the top. A thicker mattress on both would have solved the problem from the outset.
Also, unfortunately my kit was missing a bunch of the top bunk crossbars. I contacted the seller/manufacturer through their web site and received the parts well ahead of the expected date. No one likes missing pieces but to me how a seller handles unexpected problems is paramount. I give these folks high marks for prompt and satsfactory customer service. Nice color and easy to assemble
I have a lot of anxiety and didnt want a typically sized (in height) bunk bed. This one fit the bill very well.
We actually have two of these. We have 4 boys, ages 9, 6, 4, and almost 3. My husband did most of the work, and messed up one of the pieces (the ladder piece) on both bunks (we set them up at two different times, actually three), and my husband had to go back and disassemble the bunks a bit to fix it.
Two other negatives to mention:
one of the bunk beds makes a loud clunking noise when one of my sons rolls over (on the top). It sounds like rattling. Not sure where the problem lies. It doesnt seem to wake anyone, but it bugs me.
The other negative is that the railing of the top bunk covers the light switch perfectly, so its a struggle to turn the light off without pulling out the bunk bed slightly (the bedroom isnt very big anyway, but just something to note).
Some positives:
My almost 3 year old has fallen from the ladder a few times and no major injuries, no need for stitches. Just bumps and bruises.
My 9yo and 6yo both sleep well on their top beds. The 4 year old and almost 3 year old usually end up with Mom and Dad. I dont think this has anything to do with the bed itself though.
Overall, a good purchase. Would recommend to a friend, but tell them about the rattling. Good price as well
This is aming for my 17 and 15 year old boys. my 15 year old is 61 and 200lbs and sleeps on the top bunk. It gives everyone room. Best value and good looking bed. Great value
Downsizing temporarily and needed a bigger bunk bed for my teen girls. This is perfect. Fits full mattress and is lower to the ground so the top isnt near the ceiling. Works exactly like I imagined. Excellent quality and Excellent choice
I like the fact that it is way sturdier than I anticipated, it is the perfect height fits nicely in smaller rooms. I would highly recommend this bunk bed to families with multiple children between ages 3/16. Budget friendly, beautiful solid color, matched black dresser perfectly. All around good purchase! Very reasonable too!!
Product was easy to assemble but the small parts are a little frustrating when clipping together. Overall sturdiness once complete is decent, but top bunk should be even and not heavier on one side. The price is reasonable though.

Perfect starter bunk bed
