Nice Cabinet / company is great to work with

Purchased two of these units. The first one I opened had 5 pieces that were cracked really bad. Emailed the company, and they were great to work with. The second unit had one board with a crack as well, but didnt affect the stability of it. It is a really nice cabinet. It is a little wobbly, so you may want to anchor if you have small kids who climb. Love it.

    Good for the price.

Moved into small apartment with too much stuff. Still unpacking. For the price, its a good deal. Looks nice. Wish shelves held more weight. If your floor is not level, youll need shims to level it or the doors wont align up to open and close easily. It looks nice. Does what I want.Good.

darker than in the picture which made me very happy. It has plenty of hanging space as well

The color was darker than in the picture which made me very happy. It has plenty of hanging space as well as drawer space for organizing. My husband was able to put it together in about an hour. I knew I was not buying high end furniture as this is for my teenage sons at/home dorm room and am very pleased with the product. I loved it.

Great piece of low budget furniture

Great piece of low budget furniture! The package was extremely heavy / Im pretty strong and never had problems moving a furniture packaging from point A to B, but this one took me a while. You may want to have two people for this job, although I was able to do it myself (Im a average sized woman with above average strength). The manual was very well written and easy to follow, and the assembly took me about 3 hours. The reason why I took off a star is because they gave me 4 right drawer railings instead of 2 right and 2 left. Their website has a very easy section for ordering missing parts / just have your manual handy for all the numbers needed. Overall happy with the purchase. Very sturdy piece. Update: the missing pieces were delivered right away. I think it took about 4/5 days, but thats counting the weekend. Amazing!!!

Just nice enough not to look like a cheesy storage cabinet

No reviews but took a chance and assembled late last night. First the color. It is not any shade of brown, its very dark with a hint of gray. so Id call it soft black. Next the materials. Heavy particle board for top, bottom and middle, but the sides are lighter panels that have a nice finished look, much nicer than the average cabinet. The doors are the same design, so this makes the whole cabinet lighter than most. It doesnt look cheap, even thought the materials are. makes these in Malaysia, and those folks did a decent job and packed it well. The instructions had an unusual start, assembling parts of the two drawers first, then coming back to them at the end, but the main parts were fairly easy enough to follow. The most difficult, time/consuming part was the drawers, and it is too easy to put the tracks on upside down, which I did. Also nails are required for both the back panel and the drawer bottoms and I ran out of nails. The number of nails needed was greater because the back panel is two pieces and the nailing diagram didnt seem to take that into account. Hint: For the drawer bottoms you dont really need nails on the sides because a slider track screws over top. The hardware hinges and handles are cheap but they can be changed. As a budget storage solution it doesnt look half bad, and the larger size gives it more stability than smaller cabinets. My choice was between this one (19 x 40 x 71) and the nearly identical smaller version without drawers (16 x 30 x 71), about 100 bucks cheaper. The extra depth in the larger one was worth it in my opinion because you can stack larger items like chair cushions or hang garments, so its a little more than just storage shelves. Assembly is 2/3 hours. The instructions say not to use power tools, but if you own a powered screwdriver and understand its torque settings and how to avoid overtightening then it will save a lot of time. Some parts like the twist cams should only be tightened by hand. My son loves it!

    Pleasant surprise

I had the experience of another cabinet earlier and was not impressed so I did not expect much from this one. I was wrong. I mentioned that the earlier product was a poorer value than IKEA; this one offers better value for a change. The structure of the cabinet is somehow unusual: the load bearing consists of a solid plank in the middle (separating the two main compartments) plus a number of slats that constitute an external frame. You can see the slats in the photos; they are not there just for the show, they constitute the actual load bearing frame. The cabinet is then closed using thin panels made of some engineered wood. Incidentally speaking the back is make of the same kind of a panel, which is very nice given that the products in this price range usually have cardboard backs. The end result looks quite nice and is reasonably sturdy while also being lighter than the competition (not sure how much this matters though, as cabinets are rarely moved around). All the horizontal surfaces can hold a reasonable load. The compartments are well thought out. Assembly is rather tedious but pretty straightforward (with one exception). The horror, I used a power drill (like I always do for assembling this kind of things), otherwise I would have grown old during the process. I know what I am doing (and I never had any problems), but I do not necessarily recommend power tools for people having less experience and/or a heavier hand on the trigger since things can go wrong really fast if not careful. I mentioned an exception to the straightforward assembly and that exception is the drawers. One needs extra caution to square them properly; the guides provided on the parts are not enough for the purpose. I am guessing that people complaining about the drawers not aligning properly followed those guides as instructed and still got crooked drawers; thats par for the course given the insufficient guides. Overall I am quite happy with my purchase and I can recommend this cabinet. Good Product.

This is not a solid wood cupboard.

Very good product. For my children the cupboard is perfect. It took a while but was easy to assemble. Easy set up.
