Honestly, the construction of this thing is pretty dumb and bad. It suits my grandmother at the lowest height setting, luckily, but if you need to keep the rotating table elevated, dont plan on turning it too much or itll mess up the main table eventually and the rotating table will fall. With some very minor adjustments to the design of this table, it could be pretty decent, but as it is, its really dumb. The instruction manual is terrible. The top table could easily flip over, so be darn sure to tighten down the clamps or youre going to have a real mess on your hands.
I bought this to serve as a compact telework command module during COVID-19. It is sturdy and mobile on rollers with an adjustable table height that saves my back while I work out of my family room. My work materials fit neatly in the drawers with safe table top space for 2 laptops. The tabletop has an adjustable tilt but holds tight once set. I am not very handy but I put it together following the picture instructions in 2.5 hours with deliberate and focused attention to the clearly pictured details to ensure I installed the drawer gliders correctly. The cabinet finish is perfect, no dings or damage, the hardware is complete and drill holes are accurate and fit tightly, It is weighty, substantial and feels sturdy. It is an incredible value for the money.
Update: The rails got stuck and broke. I had to go to Home Depot to buy new rails. I contacted the seller and they sent me one pair of rails which one broke again.
The concept is amazing!! I love how easy it is to read or write now in bed. I will change the wheels because I like moving it to my bedside then back in the mornings. The top is a little bit slick and things can slide easily, that could be good or bad depending what you like. Overall I really love this desk/side table
I was able to install everything but once I installed the middle shelf (the wood piece), it was very disproportionate so I had to drill my own holes because I didnt what to cut any access from the wood. But because the wood is not the correct dimensions, its still disproportionate. The holes I drilled just allowed me to put it together because before nothing would fit into each other. The other issue I had was once the draw was installed it was very hard to install the swivel board (due to lack of work space after the middle board was installed) that holds a laptop so that part is still loose on my desk/end table. So building wise, not the greatest but its of good quality and customer service was great.
I am torn. I really, really like this piece now that I have it together. The item came 1.5-2 weeks earlier than anticipated and packed securely. The materials are solid (not real wood of course) and everything went together squarely.
Two main issues with assembly:
1) It took me forever to figure out how to attach the drawer slides. The instructions were super small and unclear on this step. Which led to:
2) Panel 5 and Panel 6 were reversed. Either the sticker were wrong (which I suspect) or the instructions were. Once that was figured out, I had to disassemble the drawer slides and reattach them correctly on each side.
My only other complaint would be the support bar for the adjustable table top is not straight and the table leans down to the left (see photo)
Officially it would be 3.5 stars, but I dont know how to give it a half; so Im being generous.
