    Grey Clouds of Joy

Love this chair! I started working from home so I needed a supportive chair that wouldnt break the bank. This chair checks all my boxes. I looked up a video on how to assemble and it was super easy! It wouldve taken less than 15 minutes if Id had another person but it took me around 20 by myself.

Stop your search this is the chair you need

I searched high and low for the perfect office chair for me. I was in a car accident years ago that has left me with a sensitive back where I can not sit in one spot for longer than an hour without feeling pain. This changed the game for me. I work 8/9 hours a day at a desk and I barely get up for breaks because I dont feel pain. Fabric is soft! I am considering putting buttons in the middle of the indents to glam up the chair a little.

Old woman needing a WFH update you guys

Okay, so in the early stages of the pandemic, your girl Mira like a lot of people used a kitchen chair or an old wooden desk chair to WFH before realizing that her back was not on board with this plan. I got memory foam seat cushions, which helped a lot, but I did ultimately decide I needed a desk chair. I wanted something attractive, and I liked that this was velvet and available in many colors. I got the beige, which matches some accent colors (not shown) in the office off our bedroom. I was able to assemble my chair myself over my WFH lunchbreak yesterday. The only part that is difficult to do by oneself is getting the back screwed in, because it attaches via four bolts to the mechanism for the armrest, after the armrest is in place. This is going to be tough either way (it wouldnt be any better if you put the armrests on the back before the seat). Ideally have a second person hold it to align the holes to make this part easier, but I was able to do it myself. The construction generally is nice. I did want to note that some people reported the minimum height as 18, from floor to top of seat cushion. It is more like 19.5 for my chair / FWIW, this makes it just about a half inch too tall to comfortably tuck away under my particular vintage desk. What Im going to probably do is put feet under the desk legs to jack it up an inch, because its a pretty low desk already, because I did buy this specific chair also for arms that fold up to allow it to tuck under a desk (the problem with the desk is also that, being vintage, the width of the leg opening is quite small, much narrower than any modern desk chair). Anyway, for me, the min height as noted is a bit higher. Im about 510 / 34 inseam, and I actually usually jack adjustable chairs up, but the min height is actually fairly comfortable for me (my husband sat in it, hes much shorter, and he did think it was comfortable, but if you have very short legs and dont like them swinging off the ground, beware). Otherwise, the cushions seem nice. There are reviews with substantial cushion complaints and apparently the mfr said that there was a quality issue at their plant / this is a brand new chair, but so far the bolsters all seem well made. It is just a bit lacking in lumbar support for me, and so I did order a small cushion (I recommend trying one of the tubular ones / I tried a typical 10x20 cushion that is usually on one of our beds as a throw pillow and that is much too much). I think itll be fine since Ill be able to add a contrast color that way. Overall it looks nice, and once I deal with the issue of being able to tuck it under the desk, itll last in this setup at least as long as the pandemic, and then Ill IDK take it to one of my offices or something. All you other old people WFHing, who are sitting on uncomfortable chairs, this stuff is going to last for a while, you ought to upgrade to better chairs. Srsly.

    Im obsessed!

Ive been working remotely for over 6 months now (thanks, Corona) and just finally ordered this beautiful chair in Beige for my home office; not sure why I waited so long. It exceeded all my expectations! Im the least handy person I know and I put it together myself in about 30 mins. The chair is beautiful and so comfortable and soft, I just love it so much. I move around in it all the time and sometimes even sit in a lotus pose in it while on the computer lol. For sure worth paying more for this instead of buying one of those more basic hard mesh office chairs. If the boss ever asks to come back to the office building, better believe Im bringing this chair with me!!!

I love this chair. Im a grad student and this chair will get a shout/out in my PhD acknowledgements

Its small enough that it perfectly fits under my tiny tiny desk in my tiny room. Incredibly soft. Easy to clean with a sudsy towel but doesnt get dirty nearly as fast as Id worried it might. Im 59 and it is the perfect height for me. My back and butt are thriving. I can sit criss cross on it easily and in a million other positions if I want without feeling like its going to tip over. Its holding up really well despite many 8/12 hour days in it. I really really recommend this chair. The price is fair and it looks almost as good as it feels.

    Super Chair. Id by again.

This chair is comfortable and supportive. It would be easier if I had another pair of hands to assemble but it wasnt terrible. I can sit 8 hours at a time with no pain or discomfort. This is a LARGE chair. Its for big and tall people big. But the padding is worth the larger size. Id buy it again.

    Good

I like this chair. Took about an hour to assemble, solo. The hardest part was getting the back to align without anybody helping to hold it up! Personally I dont understand the reviews saying the back leans too much. Mine is so upright its almost 90 degree angle. Because of the way the screws align with the holes there is no option to have the backrest alone leaning back. I actually would prefer a bit more lean. I got the blue one / looking at pics, I suppose it does look a little more upright than, say, the gray one. The actual tilting part of the chair works with effort. Maybe it needs to be broken in more, but between the back of the chair being so upright, and the stiff tilt, I feel rigid sitting here. HOWEVER! The chair looks really good. The seats and padding are very comfortable. I have found compromise for my way of sitting by tilting the chair and locking it in place. And so now it is perfect / though I wouldnt mind being back to rock a bit in it, which I sometimes did mindlessly in my old one. But again, maybe it will, once its broke in. Bottom line, I like the look, I like the fabric, I like the padding, and Ive found my comfort spot. Im happy with the chair.

    Disappointed / UPDATED

I received an email from Myka in response to my disappointment. She offered to send me a replacement for the hydraulic lift. She kept her word, and I received it at no cost. It has been installed, and so far so good. The chair is actually taller than it was, which I think is what another reviewer experienced. Thats OK because it was too low before. I appreciate the good customer service and Im amending my rating to reflect my satisfaction with receiving the replacement part. Thank you, Myka. The material and comfort of the cushions are good; however, this chair is not made for a bigger girl like me. The hydraulic lift quit working within a few months. Im short and like to have my chair lift me up so Im even with the top of the desk so using the computer is comfortable. My chair will lift to the highest position, but begins to sink immediately. Ive had to put a pillow in the chair to raise me to the height of the desk. Ive had the chair less than a year and am already looking for my next chair.

    Comfortable like all the reviews.

I bought the beige chair. Wasnt sure if I wanted another chair but I was using a wooden kitchen table chair. I finally decided to open it and put it together. Its a great chair. I love the velvet material, the color is perfect, matches my furniture, its not too big, its just perfect. Shipping was fast, shorter than stated. No scratches, marks or dents on the chair from the manufacture. Great chair!
