    Nice but smells bad!

The headboard looks nice and appears to be well made but it has a seafood smell to it. We have had it for over a month now and cant get rid of the smell.

Exactly what I was looking for

The headboard is the perfect height and has a lovely texture! Dog approved as well! The price is more than fair for what you receive.

They werent lying about the smell...

So the good part first- this is a nice-looking, modern bed frame. You dont need a box spring, which helps on cutting down expenses, and the frame itself is a good price for the look. The medium- my teenage son was able to put it together by himself with the little allen wrench that is provided, but it took a good 3 hours for him to do it. The frame is incredibly heavy before assembly. The bad- the smell is real. It has this weird fishy smell that fades VERY gradually...if at all...we havent gotten there yet. My son can tolerate it, but if you are sensitive to smells, especially chemical smells, do NOT buy this. Basically, if this is what you can afford and there isnt any competition at the same price, it works. But if there is an alternative, I would recommend looking into it.

    Its heavy and sturdy!

I have a box spring and mattress and there is still enough space on the headboard. This bed is solid! The quality is beyond my expectations, its not that easy to assemble if you are impatient, I assembled it with my friend, dont try to lift it alone cos its heavy. The bed material feels like velvet. I love everything about this bed.

    No instructions! Funny smell!

One, I was sent the wrong size but luckily needed both full size and Queen. Its a great style but no instructions were included and could not find the instructions online! Like everyone else that smell is unbearable. I steamed and was able to get it out a little now or is more subtle but that smell can definitely be a deal breaker if it does not leave permanently.

Good looking, affordable, made well enough

This is a handsome piece of furniture that is modern, clean, yet plays well with different decor styles. Construction is not super high end (there are some wrinkles here and there), but I think it looks fantastic overall. The fabric covering is soft to touch and velvet like. The build is pretty sturdy and so far makes little to no noise after about a week even with, ahem, vigorous use. Ill keep this review updated if it starts squeaking. Assembly is not the easiest, but definitely doable, even alone (but do yourself a favor and grab an electric drill and long hex/allen bit 5/32nds and 3/16ths). Also, I am always a fan of any company that provides extra hardware. The size is just a smidge large for my queen size mattress; this leaves a bit of a gap around the edges and catches my shin occasionally (it is not painful, though, due to the soft padding). One thing to note is that immediately after unpacking and assembling, there is a bit of a warehouse smell, kind of like walking into a hardware store. Its basically the smell of plywood, however, this has gotten less and less over the course of the past week. It certainly is not unbearable. At just under $300, this is relatively affordable when compared to other similar options available locally for me. Despite all my little niggles, I am pretty happy with it. Four stars.

    Great modern looking bed

I really like the 510 Design Catalina bed. I built it for my guest bedroom and it looks great. The tan color keeps the room looking bright. The wood slats allow you to put storage underneath. Best of all, you dont need a box spring to support the mattress. Assembly did take about 45 minutes with my partner. One thing to touch on that the bed does come with a smell that I feel most fabric furniture have when they first arrive. I didnt notice the smell after 3 days though. Im sure if youre bedroom has enough airflow, itll go away just as quick.

Really sharpens up the look of the bedroom.

I like to have a place for my grandkids to spend the night. When they were smaller, they just slept with me. It was great. But now that they are 8 and 10 I got them a mattress and box set and a colorful comforter, but I had to put the mattress on the floor. This is a wonderful bed frame. It has a nice headboard and I can store their shoes under the bed. Only problem was assembly, but thats not the beds fault. Took me a while to get my son to assemble, put he did and its great. Kids love it, but they like Gram to sleep on the floor. We have fun. A really lovely bed frame that is very reasonably priced.

Nice looking and good quality. Must put all pieces together yourself. Bad smell!

This is a good looking and sturdy bed. It came in a box the size of the head board. All the pieces were actually INSIDE of the head board itself and must be assembled. Once you get started, it is not so bad. You are basically putting nuts and bolts together and tightening. (Dont over tighten). The end product is a good looking and surprisingly sturdy bed frame. Unfortunately, this head board platform bed frame leaves a bad smell in the room. It smells exactly like when air is let out of an old tire or an old inner tube. Its been a week or so and the smell still lingers in the room. Hopefully it goes away soon. Other then that, seem like a good frame.
