Bought 2 and they are definitely the jewels in my fuel can collection.
PRO:
- They appear to be well made and sturdy enough.
- Shipment packaging was the best! Double boxed with foam.
- The gloves and extra nozzle assembly with can attachment clip was a nice touch.
- The short wide low profile 20L can design is practically tip-over proof! It still needs to be secured for long trips but if just going across the yard in the bed of my truck - no worries.
CON: (Ok, these are not bad, just nitpicky I wish it had items)
- I wish the vent and filler caps had some sort or retention like a mushroom button on top that a plastic leash/strap could have been used to keep them attached to the can.
- A nice elite finishing touch would have been to use a flexible metal filler nozzle instead of plastic.
- The filler cap seals at the bottom of the can spout / cap threads and depending on how much sloshing the fuel does you may have a few drops that accumulate in the threaded area run down the side of the can when you unscrew the filler cap. I understand the design is because of the way the filler nozzle stores inside the can spout prevents putting an effective seal at that point - but again this is a nice to have redesign wish...
The cans were very very well packed so there were no dents. So polished they looked like pieces of art. Filled them both with gasoline...very nice...no fumes and easy to pour spout ( plus 1 extra spout)
Ive been studying jerry-cans, and while this one showed promise, it is not a true jerry can in one key way: the welded seam holding the two halves of the tank together is NOT inverted, so it sticks out where it can get damaged and leak. The true German can has a recessed seam for that reason, which also allows the can to be stacked in any orientation. This one doesnt allow for that. Hence the 3-star review
This gas container is amazing. It has unique features that makes it a great investment, especially during an emergency. It is made of high-quality steel and not plastic, thus, it is safe and secure to store highly flammable liquids. It is ideal to transport gas and diesel. The best about this gas container is that it is spill-free. Once it is seal it does not spill like other gas cans does even when it flips.
True this gas container might be pricier than other containers, but it is worth it. You truly get your money back. Unlike the other low-priced containers that I have had before this one has a small air valve that allows the air to be release. All the others after the first use would start to inflate due the air that was released from the gas. But this container does not because the valve allows the air to be release and avoids the container to be inflated.
The design of the container is superb. It has three handles which makes it easy to carry and move. Its shape easily fits anywhere, and it can be transported and used by pretty much any vehicle. It can carry up to 10-gallons enough to refill a small car gas tank, the liquid flows fast and easy. Overall, it is easy to use, and you can truly rely on this gas tank when an emergency comes up.
It is worth the premium price and I totally recommended it.
My husband is beyond happy. This is an excellent product that comes with flexible pour spout and an extrea to boot. Then he discovered there was also a pair of knit gloves for hand protection. Very impressive!
updated: bumped up to four stars because the company proactively reached out to me to make this right and fix the situation. despite the initial issue the product itself is very well made and worth it.
this would have gotten a higher rating if there wasnt a nasty disgusting suggestive nasty smelling white fluid all over the box and inside the can I dont know what theyre doing at the packaging place but its very inappropriate disgusting and it was all over these cans and smelled putrid I have half a mind to return them and I ended up having to spend a half hour cleaning each can
Everything is perfect except the metal it a little thin in my opinion. I dont think it would take a hard if it came loose from your rig or whatever. It did come with two spouts that I thought was very nice and it was packed well and showed up undamaged. Im sure this can will store clear gas for a long time and contaminate it as plastic containers do. After a season metal delivers the gas in perfect clarity. After a season such as my boat motors the gas in plastic comes out tainted and doesnt run well. Clear gas will last and I recommend metal and nothing is better than stainless.

came with disgusting fluid all over and inside it

Nice metal Gas Can dont use plastic it contaminates the fuel over time.
