When we first opened the box we thought oh no this is going to be tough to assemble. Im not mechanically inclined but was so surprised at how easy the instructions were to follow. It took a little over an hour...but my wife is happy...its better.to assemble with two people.
A couple times I had to turn things around but I figure things out pretty quickly. For those of you not mechanically inclined you will have a hard time. But this bed is sturdy and I only had one crack along the foot board but its on the bottom so not worried too much. And a couple of small chips.
The assembly took longer than expected (2-3 hours) but totally worth it! It looks amazing. The instructions could have been more clearly written (outside of just images) but it did the job. I hope it holds up overtime. Ill update this post in a few months.
Very good Not Perfect The only reason I did not rate this bed 5 stars is that the diagrams in the directions lacked some information and some of the materials did not have corresponding letters to match it to a picture on the instructions. After several attempts to figure out which direction the materials assemble, we were able to finish putting the bed together in a few hours. It is a great look at an affordable price.
Maybe its just me but weve been sleeping on it for three nights and Ive stubbed my toe on the side center leg a half a dozen times, (although no more painful than stubbing your naked toe on anything else). The center side leg is necessary given the design, but I would look for a bed without it if I ever shop for another bed.

So the assembly was ok, book was super clear as the images were for a smaller size bed which led to some confusion, what worries me is the quality. Several items were bent, which arent noticeable once put together. The slats under the bed are incredibly unreliable. They are JUST long enough to reach from one end of the bed to the other, however once the bed is used some of the ends fall so the bed becomes unstable. Im worried one day very soon its gonna break. Everything else could easily be dismissed but the slats keep bugging me
Get it dont think about it I am not someone who can put things together so I decided to try the service offers to have someone come out together the California King bed frame. Two men showed up and put it together in just less than an hour. They were professional and cheerful. I havent jumped on the bed, but it looks like it will do nicely for a guest bed. I did notice there werent any sticky strips that my other platform frames have, but I can find something to use if it becomes an issue. So glad I paid the extra to have these fellows come put it together.
