The space between the upper bed and the down is very small, we can not stand it! So we seperate the bed, so there are no space in our room!

    Good bunk bed

Good bed, son is very happy. The frame is low so an adult cannot sit on bottom bunk to read bedtime stories, this is the largest drawback. I really like the fact the top bunk is not so high; when I am standing I can easily see my son and tuck him into bed.

    great for price.

wow. for the price, you cant really go wrong. we ended up with one piece that didnt make sense, but cant see that it makes that much of a difference. Safe, strong, easy to put together. Love it.

Great value. Fairly straight forward to put together

Great value. Fairly straight forward to put together. Did need to reference the detailed manual pictures since not all pieces were labeled but easy to do so. It does smell but Id rather pay less and let it air out at my home than pay a furniture store to do it. I was worried about the slats when someone compared them to something from a home improvement store but they are great. They are plywood but the finish is almost furniture quality. They are not rough. There were some splinter type pieces along the cut edges but they were easy to take off. There isnt much head room but I dont mind since itll keep my daughter from jumping on the bed.

    Sturdy good quality bunk-beds

Im pretty picky when it comes to furniture. My budget was small and I was determined to get sturdy quality beds. I bought 2 sets and after a year of use, I can say they are still great. I have them for 14,12,9,7 year olds. No complaints. I never had the smell others have complained about. My friend and I put together both sets in 6 hours while drinking a bottle of wine haha

    It just went together. Period.

This is an unusually nice kit. The directions are easy to follow, the hardware reasonable quality and assembly took less than 45 minutes WITH the kids helping. Predrilled holes lined up cleanly. It is overall a very solid set of bunk beds, with overall quality is equal to another set I bought the boys for about twice the cost. I do recommend that it is worth the effort to make assembly easier to buy one of the hex wrenches on a 3/8 or 1/4 drive socket before you start, but even with the included tool, this was one of the easiest kits Ive ever assembled.

so right now its being used as a single bed and we really like it. Some of the pieces were missing stickers

We only put the bottom bunk together for our son and are planning to use the other bed for our daughter, so right now its being used as a single bed and we really like it. Some of the pieces were missing stickers, so it took a bit to figure out which pieces went to what, but beside that, the assembly was easy and the quality is great, especially for the price. Its been about a month now ince weve had it put together and we havent had any problems so far.

Good Details Included in this Review

We had a few problems putting this together 1. The parts were all mislabeled, so we had to take extra time to properly identify and label them according to the instructions. 2. A few screws were missing I dont like dealing with customer service people on the phone, and I dont like waiting for the parts to actually arrive, so we just used some of our own wood screws that we had lying around. One stripped pretty easy, so dont force a screw if it seems caught. Just back it out, and start over. 3. This doesnt bother me, and the smell diminishes over time in a properly ventilated area, BUT it does smell of wood finishing chemicals. 4. The perpendicular bars for the bed rails had pre-drilled holes that were misaligned no matter which way you turned it the rail. Of three drill spots we were able to get two screws into each. 5. The weight limits Ive read for this bed vary from 160 lbs to 250 lbs. Definitely DO NOT go over 160 lbs. unless you buy an extra particle board piece 39 x 74 x 1 - costs about $15 each in the lumber department to go on top of the screwed in bunkie boards. Even then 250 lbs might be pushing the limit. Pros 1. The bunkie boards provided are actually pretty sturdy. Each board is about 3 wide, and 3/4-1 thick, and they can be screwed into the frame. If you need a bed rail for a toddler though, youll need the extra particle board piece or the bed rail will fall through the holes in the bunkie boards. It is NOT recommended to put anyone younger than 6 years old on the top bunk. 2. It is simple to put together besides the flaws mentioned. With two people one doing most of the work it took about 3 hours to finish. 3. Its light, and easy to move, but sturdy enough for children. 4. The ladder rungs are flat to accommodate the bottoms of feet better. Very smooth though, so be careful wearing socks. 5. Its small, and short, so it would fit into a tight space. 6. It fits a standard size mattress We used a 6 tall twin to allow more head room between the bunks. Theres only about two feet of clearance between the bunks from the top of the mattress. 7. They can be separated later. AWESOME! 8. Plenty of under the bed storage. We keep bed linens in a 56qt. Sterilite container under the bottom bunk.

    Not bad for the price

Average bunk bed, not bad for the price. When I get up on the ladder to change the bedding or something, it feels a bit uneasy as it makes squeaking sound. My 5 yo sleeps on the bottom, and shes little so it is not an issue yet however there is not much space in between the beds.
