This is a great bed for low ceilings or if you have a little one that may roll out of bed (the bottom bunk is pretty much floor level). Husband was able to assemble easily with no losses of temper! My issue one of the boards came broken for the steps. I have emailed the company about a replacement part and will await a response! Pending that may update review to 5 stars! Did not disappoint
This is a gorgeous bed once assembled. I love it (morning after), my husband loves the way it looks, and our daughter has dubbed it her castle. We gave it a 4 star because assembly isnt easy / specifically, getting the slats to stay in place during assembly. This would have been easier if I was not 8 months pregnant and if my partner were in better shape.
It took us 8 hours total to assemble because I didnt pull up the YouTube video. That was a my bad moment / the instruction manual pictures can be a teensy bit unclear in some areas for the bed portion. 5 hours of this was the bed itself, 3 hours was our daughter trying to help me by playing with the hardware while I assembled the stairs. Both of us were working on the bed portion together because the long pieces are difficult to assemble alone.
We put one side together with first a single side facing the wrong way (it was also upside down but didnt know that yet) and then had to pull apart the side again to flip the two posts. Its the far corner (the one without the stairs).so it of course has 14 vertical slats which are loose during construction of that side.
I really REALLY wish those dang slats for the bed portion at least were glued or fastened in by the manufacturer, but also understand this would make the box bigger which costs more on shippingraising costs of the item.
Big things with this:
Use the paper directions as a backup/confirmation of parts list / watch the YouTube assembly video 6/10 times during process.
Dont overtighten the staircase during assembly / check and ensure snugly tightened after stairs are fully assembled. Dont open both boxes at the same time for the stairs/bed / or keep the pieces separate.
Have an electric screwdriver available for the self/tapping screws, itll save you time on your back/side/knees with the brackets that hold the stairs to the bed.
With the brackets, line up staircase then attach to the bed side first / attach to the stairs with the stairs clamped to the side of the bed tight to get a good snug fit.
WATCH the Youtube video lots and be careful when standing up not to bend your toes the wrong way.
Have someone available to keep your small child busy so they dont play with your bolts, screws, tools or the smaller pieces because theyre excited and want to be a part of this/help you. Pay attention to the pictures!
The only complaint I have is that the instructions can be a bit confusing at times so I suggest reading all the way through before you start. Also, pay close attention so which side you want the opening for the stairs. They come separately so the instructions for the bunk bed dont account for the staircase. Other than that I have no issues ! We have no dislikes
Decent product, not quite as sturdy as I expected, but I think thats more indicative as to the quality of products of todays age. It looks nice, the kids love it.
The assembly directions are pretty awful. A couple of the predrilled holes werent drilled correctly, and I had to dig pieces of wood out of another bolt hole. The stairs assembly directions are some of the worst Ive experienced in a while.
Few nitpicks mostly around assembly and designs choices, but my kids are really happy. It feels safe for them for sure. So thats all that matters I guess. however I would not recommend anyone buy this.
I echo most of the reviews. Beautiful piece of furniture very well designed and engineered. I take pride in my ability to put things together. This one took a while. The instructions are very good with exception of the staircase. Took me a while to understand the schematic. But I do love a challenge.
It is a solid, sturdy bed. The staircase makes it a lot safer than the usual ladders. Great product for the price.
Also I got it 5 days after ordering. Delivery was excellent. I got texts with a projected time two days before and when they were on way over. Delivery guys offered to take it to the bedroom. Very courteous. LOVE LOVE!!
Purchaced for my 4 year old and 19 month old. Decent quality for the price, it is what I expected based off of the reviews I read. Overall I reccomend this product. My 4 year old and myself put this together. This took us about 10 hours to assemble over 2 day, however, I was letting my 4 year old help and although we went slow, it was overall a fun project. Its not hard to assemble, just takes awhile. I reccomend having two adults set this up, one person work on the bed, and the other person set up the stairs (and slide if they are fast) separately (Divide and conquer). You can set up stairs and slide in a different room if there is a space issue, these pieces can easily be moved once its assembled. The person working on the bed will need assistance on holding parts here and there, but no real muscle needed. My 4 year old daughter was able to help me prop it up, so not hard. I would estimate 2 adults could knock this out in 4 hours. The only additional tool you will need is an electric screw driver. I chose not to screw in the slide to the bed, as I like the option of removing the slide. particularly at bed time, or to create more space in the room when needed. I also chose not to screw in the wood slats on the bottom bunk. I have yet to screw the stair case to the bed. At this time I dont feel like its a safety issue as it is pretty sturdy. I am chosing not do do this because I like the option of being able rearrange the stairs and the slide if I rearrange the room. I also purchaced two additional side rails for the bottom bunk that and offers, this is so I can still have the crib/affect for my youngest. I am also choosing not to screw these in, as I like the option of being able to remove them I also purchased the pink curtain for the bottom bunk. Overall, I am happy with my order and the bunk bed.
Negative/ish Comments: the pink curtain is more of a bubble gum pink. I think I was expecting it to be darker. Also, shipping was delayed on my order, but that wasnt a big deal to me. Pieces 14 and 15 on the stairs were switch. and it was late and I was tired, so it took me about 30 minutes to figure out that the numbers were accidently switched. This is not high/end/quality; parts can break if you misshandle while assembling. Lastly. I dont like when you lay on the bottom bunk and you look up, and you see the wood slatts. I wish there was something that hid these, but im just being picky. Exactly what I was looking for

Perfect for small kids and toddlers
Its the perfect hight for my 6yr old and my toddler sleeps in the bottom bed. Love it
Worth the money!
