Takes up less space. Great bed. Wasnt sure about ordering a bed off of , but glad we did. Only issue was how UPS destroyed the box. Fortunately all the hardware was in the box for constructing the bed. Easy to follow instructions. Due to damage during shipping, the bed had some scratches and scrapes, but nothing was broken.
Smart design. My son put these together for me last week. They have not been used yet since Im waiting on the mattresses I ordered to arrive. I am however very pleased with the quality of these beds. I hope they live up to the weight capacity of 250 lbs each and the grandkids possible roughness!!!
Just ok It does the job as a kids bunk bed. The wood is not as solid as I anticipated but its enough. I did need to purchase a sheet of plywood to put under both mattress. The wood slates provided was cheap and spaced apart too wide. Im not sure of the weight limitations, so Id be cautious of the top bunk. I did reinforce by adding wood nails to some areas of the frame joints. Otherwise, its ok
Well made just what I was looking for! I am a 230lb 510 man, I have slept in this bed nightly for over 2yrs, I sleep well and the bed is 100. I assembled it myself, it is rather light/weight wood (pine?) and uses the current day cheap/O fasteners (some kind of bolt + threaded drum thing) but the fit of the joints was excellent, so I used P2000 construction adhesive on ALL joints except those allowing the bed to be separated into/two beds. I have even climbed into the top bunk with my 5yo son to read him bedtime stories dozens of times and it hasnt complained, not one squeak. I attribute the beds success to the adhesive. A full grown man could regularly use the top bunk but I would advise adding 1x6s between the included 1x3s. such use is at the limit of their strength when youre climbing/in. Mattress arrives rolled/up and is surprisingly comfortable.
