    PITA to put together

This was by far and away the absolute worst piece of furniture I have ever put together. And I have put together lots of furniture. You have to have at least two people to get this done, and more would be best. Even with multiple people this will take several hours to assemble -- we had two and it took us about 4-5 hours to get this thing fully assembled. Once it is assembled it is nice. The seat cushion is firm, but still comfortable. The height of the seat is nice and the space is roomy for my plus sized body. I am not going to curl up and read a book on this, but it is comfortable for sitting and chatting with friends. This also looks nice in my living room and the velvet is a great touch. The navy color is also nice and bright. If you can get over putting it together (which we almost gave up) you will have a fancy looking piece of furniture for your house!

    Favorite piece of furniture

I absolutely LOVE this piece of furniture!! I wanted it for our master bedroom to fit at the end of our bed frame. It is the perfect height for sitting to put your shoes on. It is so elegant and beautiful as we considered placing it in the living area for our guests to marvel at, but it would not match our other pieces in this color. It is a great settee, but I would not use it as a replacement for an actual couch. It is a solid piece of furniture, not weighing too much, but enough that you can tell it was made with quality materials. It came with all tools necessary to assemble the chair and the instructions were clear. The absolute worst part was connecting the screws into the side arm rails as it was frustrating and took some time. The finished product is well worth the trouble though. The inside seat and backrest are all tufted velvet, while the legs are wood, and the outer sides are smooth velvet. It holds my 215 lbs and my wifes 160 lbs at the same time. The material is soft and smooth, while the seat is not the most plush to sit on, but is firm and not uncomfortable either. It has a beautiful scallop design on the bottom and top. Ive seen similar pieces in thrift shops for over $1K so this piece is extraordinary to me for the value!! My favorite piece of furniture and makes me nostalgic.

Great looks... not a soft seat

This Chesterfield Loveseat is a beautiful brilliant royal blue velvet and the Mrs. and I agreed that this piece would not look out of place at the palace at Versailles. The legs have a stylish curvature - in short, it doesnt look like a sofa that comes in a box and must then be assembled. The assembly isnt TOO bad, but for some parts is prohibitively difficult without 2 people - one, for example, to hold the back in place while its being bolted by another person to the seat. Then there is the matter of the comfort of the loveseat as, you know, an actual seat. After triumphantly completing the assembly I sat on it. Whats the matter? the Mrs. asked in response to the face I made. Not comfortable? Not really, I said. It feels like a padded brick. (The seat is completely flat with no contour at all, although it IS covered with the tufted velvet which is upholstered over the foam padding.) The Mrs. came over and sat down also. It feels like a padded brick, she agreed. So - high points for looks, but not really comfortable enough to actually use as a seat.

horrible assembly, great looking loveseat. 3.5 stars

This is sort of a mixed review. On the one hand, you end up with an INCREDIBLY GORGEOUS loveseat. On the other hand, the assembly is a train wreck and the loveseat is HARD. Someone mentioned park bench and I would say Ive sat in more comfortable ones than this. Its almost humorous how awful the sitting experience is when contrasted with the inviting, sexy visual—almost prank level contrast. The assembly was awful for the following reasons: -requires two people to force things to line up, and that REALLY takes work -following the instructions doesnt really work—the first step, for example, has you setting this on the floor, and as much as we tried to make that work, we had to prop it on a bench we have to get the cushion to flatten enough to get force the bolts in while one of us pressed hard and held it in place -some measurements are slightly off, so to get this to work, you have to barely tighten the bolts per section so theres enough give to slowly tighten them gradually, moving from one to the other and more or less force it to work. -no guide holes for the final screws, and the close angle to the legs makes it hard to screw in and make a hole using any sort of tool, automatic or otherwise -legs ended up being just a little off. Its not really noticeable sitting there, but while we were assembling it and saw the bottom, it was pretty obvious In short: Assembly: 2 stars Comfort: 1 star Visual appeal: 5 stars Design, construction, and materials: 5 stars I rounded up to 3.5 stars even though there are some genuinely bad things here. It is just So Visually Stunning that somehow, I forgive all the other issues. Its really gorgeous, and the price is quite reasonable!

This is a beautiful loveseat, but hard as a park bench

We got this piece and actually really like it to look at. But it is not comfortable at all. The cushions arent soft at all. Also, one of the bolts was too short to connect the arm to the back. So you might ask why I gave it 4 stars. Well, because it is really beautiful and goes great with our decor. It is also made very sturdy. So it really boils down to what you want. If you are going to have people sitting on it regularly, watching television or something, this isnt for you. If you want it for occasional use in a larger room as an accent, I would consider this piece.

Beautiful, Funky Couch in a Box

Ive been impressed with s offerings thus far and this loveseat did not disappoint. Everything you need to assemble the couch is in the box, and its creatively tucked inside zippered pouches in the cushions. If you have weaker hands or tender skin without much callous you probably would benefit from spending $20 on a ratcheting furniture assembly set, complete with proper grips and all size allen hex wrenches, among other things. Anyway. Threading some of the legs and screws into place took a bit more effort than I realized, but overall assembly for me alone was under an hour. The loveseat is quite attractive, comfortable to sit on, and blends nicely with our mid century trappings. Its survived quite a bit of kid abuse already including dirty hands and some bouncing, and seems to have weathered it without too many signs of wear. The velvet gets kind of matted looking pretty easily, and definitely traps fur, so if you have little critters it probably is good to keep them off of this one. I wish the legs were about an inch or two shorter as well.

    Cautiously optimistic

Hope the cousin holds up! So far love the couch, but fear the cushion may sync. If it doesnt sync will be five stars

The fabric is soft and comfortable. Very cute and I have received many compliments.

    Petite but functional

This couch is petite yall. But if you dont really need a lot of seating or somewhere to stretch out on its sturdy and does look nice. Its not very tall either so proportionally it looks a little odd near some of my other furniture but good affordable option for my first apartment
