Im sure this bed is an aming product as the other reviewers have noted but I never got the chance to experience this first hand. What I did get to experience was Visiondecors (the company who sells the bed aming customer service. Unfortunately I had to suddenly move out of my apartment so I had to cancel the order and obtain a refund directly through the company instead of since it is not sold directly by . I thought this was sure to be a hassle and/or a possibility that the company would not give me a refund in a timely manner. Instead I was pleasantly surprised when Visiondecor returned my phone call the very next day after I left them a voicemail and told me that it would be no problem to return the product and receive my full refund. I would definitely purchase from this company again in the future.
I have had this product for a month and a half now and despite the reviews about its assembly complications, purchased it anyway. Just careful assembly is all you need, I was tired and had one of the frame pieces turned upside down, when I went to screw the last screw in for the ladder I realized I had it wrong and needed to tear half of the bed apart. With careful pry technique the center support brackets came off with ease. I bought this bed for my 5 year old daughter, who fell in love with it the moment she saw a second level bed. I weigh 175lbs and climbed onto the top bunk to assure its stability and I would feel comfortable sleeping with my daughter underneath me. Nice solid build. And I am considering purchasing another one here soon.
I bought this for my 5 and 8 year old. At first, after getting it put together correctly with the help of these reviews, it seemed to be a decent bed for the price. Of course its not gonna be an awesome bed for $200 but it should at least be safe. After only about a month of use the ladder bolts became stripped. Now the ladder wont stay on. Other bolts are slowly coming loose as well. I know I tightened them well. It is just a cheaply made bed. I do not suggest it for anyone with older kids. This would be good for ages 6 and under probably.
We looked at many many many bunk beds. They really range in price and often the less expensive ones are not very stable. That is not the case with this one. It is very stable and is an excellent value for the money. We are using it at a second home it is perfect and we didnt spend a few thousand dollars. It took the three of us (yes our 9 year old even helped us put it together about an hour to assemble. The only annoyance are the little clips that secure the support bars you place the mattress on, they are tough to snap in, but not a deal breaker.
After ordering the bundbeds, we received the shipment within the correct amount of time; however, we only received half of the parts. I called in the issue and they wrote down all the 100 missing parts. One week and two days later, we received that shipment (they refused to ship any way other than UPS ground. We were then missing half of those parts!
When I called in about these missing parts (all the slats and two other parts, they were very rude on the phone, but said they would ship them out. 3 days later, I called for the tracking number and was told that they were not shipped out because my account was flagged as being suspicious because I didnt tell them all the missing parts to begin with. What?! So, Im called a liar and my child is sleeping on a mattress on the floor next to some of the parts of the bed for 3 weeks!
They argued with me for 30 minutes, stated they only had one customer service rep, wouldnt let me talk to the manager or owner. It was a nightmare!
After a total of SIX phone calls and 4 weeks, we received all the parts and my son loves the bunkbeds. It was worth all the ridiculous phone calls just for the smile on his face!
I bought this set for my two oldest girls ages 4 5, they LOVE the bed and so do I! It is very sturdy and not bulky. My brother and fiancé put this together in about an hour, no issues what so ever. The fact that the beds can be separated into two twin beds is a huge plus. If taken care of properly Im sure these beds can last a long while or at least until the child out grows the bed. I purchased two regular twin size mattresses for the bunks, rather than getting a bunk bed mattress or cheap mattress that wouldnt last as long as a regular mattress. Great space between the two beds also, great investment and I highly recommend it!
I had purchased a twin over full for my kids but it was too large for the room. The boys though had a larger room so we moved that bed in their room and put this twin over twin in the girls room. It came earlier than expected. My youngest came in and said the beds on the front porch. SO we moved it in the house and in about 4 and a half hours wed taken the first apart, assembled the second and reassembled the first in the proper rooms. Fairly easy construction, the plastic pieces which snap in the top rails were a bear, but we used the flat side of a regular screwdriver and they popped right in.
Were all pleased. Great product for those that need it.
Well, the ladder is terrible--the small diameter of the rungs cut into ones feet. So I bought a little stepladder to use instead, wrapping a towel around the top rung. And it tends to sway when moving around--although it doesnt seem to be going anywhere. But the price was certainly right, and Id certainly rather have it than none at all.
No sooner did we get 2 sets of these bunk beds that I found Walmart sells the exact same thing for $149 online with free shipping to the store. I always thought was the best deal in town excluding maybe winning a low bid on eBay. Anyway, putting aside that we paid too much for the bunk beds on , they do require a full days work to assemble: seemingly hundreds of small, different sizes of everything. The instructions call for a 9 top bunk mattress which is clearly too high for absolute certainly the child would not roll over the rail. The bunk bed is sturdy and the side rails perfectly high enough when using a 6 top mattress.

Cheap Not Sturdy Deceiving
