I just moved to NYC and my first room was like a matches box, since I work from home I needed a space to have my office set. I bought this and it saved me A LOT of space! I can say is very uncomfortable to get up and get down from it when you are not use to bunk beds but if you looking to have more space in your room, this definitely will help. I had to put some pool noodles on the stairs to make them more comfortable and also bed moves and makes noise, but I guess that if you are a kid you won’t mind for that.
I have my 16 and 13-year-old teenage sons sleeping on it without any problems.
I have a 10-inch futon mattress on the bottom without issue.
Take your time putting it together and use the instructions otherwise you will be redoing things
I forking love this bed! Perfect for small rooms; creates so much extra space!! It IS a bit wobbly. Highly suggest getting WALL ANCHORS. It’s true, the ladders aren’t the best...but I’m not even using them because I have the bed facing front. A short ladder does the job. All in all, I’m very happy!
I feel like it could use some bracing as it is slightly wobbly. The directions are not clear as to which side is up or goes where but we eventually figured it out. My 12yr old is very happy.
I did a lot of research before deciding on this bed. What I liked the most was how thick the metal posts were compared to other metal loft beds. I also liked that all of the pieces were square instead of thin circles. This bed is very heavy. My regular UPS delivery woman wasn’t so happy about the purchase but was curious how they looked once up. (I do a lot of online shopping) the other plus I liked were the flat ladder steps. Most metal bunk beds have the thin circular rungs that most reviewers had complaints about them hurting kids feet. Also since I could only place both beds as they are in the picture I needed beds that had ladder options on both sides. This greatly reduced options available to us. I was able to put both beds together myself. It was difficult to do the final assembly without a second person holding the bed but it is doable. It did take a couple hours per bed for assembly. The only reason I did not give a 5 star was the second bed I put together was missing 2 of the pre-drilled holes so I had to bring 2 of the pieces to my brother-in law’s shop to have them drilled. That was a slight inconvenience and I could see how it could be a major one for some people.
I bought this for my 11 year old daughter. It was so easy to assemble she practically did it by herself. Everything was in good condition, fit correctly, and the instructions were pretty decent. The result is just as you'd expect. I'd recommend this easily.
I bought 2 different sets of bunks. I like this one over the other one. Easy to out together. Safe for my kids. I had to climb up on top, and was strong enough to hold me. Lol would be comfortable laying with my kids up there. Very sturdy. Doesn't shake, or feel like its going to fall apart
Honestly a bit wobbly, but you'll get used to it over time. The frame makes it incredibly difficult to put the side guards on, so I just left them off. Maybe you'll have better luck.
