Usually i am hesitant buying furniture from . I had made bad purchases of furniture before in here. After looking at the review I bought it two of these. The shipping was quick. It took 3/4 days with prime. After opening the package I picked one of the heaviest piece (head board) and it was very light compared to my Malm frame. I thought it there is goes again another bad purchase. After nervously assembling everything I tried to moving the headboad and trying to hear a squeak but there was nothing. It is very sturdy. Had a good night sleep.
The assembly was pretty easy it took almost 1hr to put 1st one and for the second it took 20/25 minutes. You do need atleast two people to assemble it. One of the best purchases made in so far. recommend!
This review is of the full (double bed) size platform. For background, I am a single weighing approximately 150 and there is little vigorous activity taking place on it
It is exactly what I was looking for; well made of real wood and sturdy. I dont understand some of the reviews that claimed otherwise. I wouldnt advise winging it during the assembly process, however. Perhaps, that would explain some other folks apparent difficulties. Exercise patience, review and follow the assembly instructions and you shouldnt have any problems, at least I didnt. It takes about 45 minutes from box to placing mattress.
As one of the other reviewers pointed out, it takes a couple days to stop stubbing your toe on the middle side post since most of us are not accustomed to having a supporting post at that location. This frame, with its 9 legs, is well suited to supporting and distributing the weight of todays heavier mattresses and the bonus of not needing a box spring because the slats that are included are adequate in number and thickness, is great. I had ordered extra, heavy duty, slats fearing those that came with the frame might be inadequate, but that certainly was not the case. Good thing too because had sent the wrong size slats; I had to return them.
If you like the newer trend of a bed close to the floor, this 14 high frame isnt for you; if you prefer your bed at the more traditional height this will work for you. I have an 8 mattress plus a 3 inch topper on it which brings it to a rather traditional height bed. If you want a sturdy platform, of finished wood, in natural (light) color, you should be pleased with this product which the box states is Made in . So far I am pleased! If anything changes I will update this review. Built strong.
I am very happy that I chose this bed. I have minimal space and have tried several options and this is perfect. My 6 yr old helped me assemble it in under 15 minutes. High quality bed / I have put together SO many pieces of furniture and toys and this was one of the best / everything lined up perfectly, the directions were logocal and simple. The only thing Ill have to do is put some tacky stickers under the feet because it will move on the hardwood floor when someone jumps in or out of it. Hope it lasts as long as it looks like it will! Love it.
