We purchased this same exact bunk bed set from Sears (simply because we had gift cards for that store, which brought our out-of-pocket cost down significantly). It took my husband about 3 hours to put it together by himself and it went quickly and smoothly. His only complaint is that they only give you exactly the number of nuts, bolts, etc., that you need, so if a screw would get stripped or something else should happen, there are no extras to allow for that possibility. The wood seems to be decent quality, and the cherry color is beautiful. Our daughter spent her first night in it last night and so far she loves it.
This bunk bed set seems to be a great bargain, and definitely worth the price, versus many other sets which cost hundreds of dollars more. We are pleased with our purchase.
Very nice bunk bed, nice cherry wood which matched everything I already had in the kids room. Took me 4 hours to put together, because I put the bunk sides with the ladder on the wrong side and then had to disassemble.
Overall the beds are great, and they can support adults no problem, which my son loves.
I would recommend thsi over any other others on !
Overall this is a nice bed, however I am pretty disappointed with the customer service and quality. One of the slats supporting the mattress broke as it had a big rotten "eye" on it. I emailed the customer service asking for the replacement part, but they wrote back asking for my receipt?? They should be happy that I am not filing a lawsuit and calling them instead; this is childrens bed and when anyone suggests theres a safety defect, their first response shouldnt be "wheres your receipt"? Obviously Im not dealing with the most intelligent group of people here, so I decided to go out and get a plywood board under the mattress instead. Im deeply disappointed that I had to resort to that, but Im not taking any chances with my childrens safety.
I was hoping for it to be darker, it is more of a cherry finish.
The hex key that came with it wasnt cut correctly and had a beveled end. It wouldnt fit in the screws. Thankfully we have bits and used our own.
It is nice even if it isnt the color I was looking for. It is high enough off the floor to store things under it. The slats all screw into the frame making it extra safe. I look forward to this bed lasting for years.
Someone really knew how to pack the shipping carton. Pieces were perfectly fit into the very large box and this was easy to assemble. This is a great value for the price.
I like the bed overall. Unfortunately, I do not look forward to making the bed. Especially the top. The design did not take into account that you have to get your hands and knuckles through those bars to make the bed.
Once the bunkbed was put together it was beatiful and very sturdy. However, the description specifically said it came with all necessary tools. I had to get out the screw driver and make a total of 18 holes that were not pre done. These were the six supports on top and bottom as well as the little support on both sides of the top bunk. It took three of us 5 hours to put the bed together. This was because the holes that were drilled were tight, and so we had to re do some that made others misalign. However, that is why the bed is so sturdy so it was worth the difficulty in putting it together for the end result. The bunkbed also was not packaged properly to protect the wood, and ours came with about five significant scratches. They were very obvious because of the dark stain over the origionally light wood. Luckily, the larger ones were on the side of the bunk we had against the wall, and the rest we touched up with stain.
We recently purchased this bunkbed and absolutely love it . Such good quality at a wonderful price and the color of the wood (dark brown)is beautiful. My sons love it and right after my husband put it together, wanted to go to bed, Yeah!! This is one of my better purchases......

Nice bed but poor quality control and customer service

Easy and done, but not as dark as pictured.
