The bed seems sturdy, thicker wood than a lot of furniture Ive ordered online. The desk part came damaged, but has a form online where you enter the style, color, damaged part, when and where purchased, and a photo of the damage. I submitted this and got a confirmation email and then immediately after the desk piece shipped and I got an email notification of that. It was super easy. I think this happens a lot with shipped furniture, especially because all furniture appears to be a combo of wood and mdf these days rather than solid wood. My complaint with the bed is the smell. It has that new furniture VOC odor and though it says within safe formaldehyde limits I still had the idea of chemicals on my kids bed. I miss the days of the da Vinci kalani greendguard crib bed for a couple hundred bucks. Why isnt there a bunk or loft version of that? Though its not greenguard and clearly stinky, its still solid and better than other especially for the price Works great!
The package it came in was very heavy. So I guess Im too surprised that it came super beat up. Like comically hashed. refunded some of the money because they were in charge of the shipping. We then put it together. It took a little while. About what youd expect for a bunk bed. A few pieces were damaged because of the terrible delivery. It really should have been a few guys and maybe a dolly. Im guessing there was one poor soul trying to lug it around. The damage in general wasnt too bad. Except for a huge bump right in the middle of the desk. I contacted the company and they sent us another desk top piece for free. My husband switched it out without too much problem. All in all my son loves it and I like the way it looks. I love how much room it gives and the desk. Perfect!!
I feel like it went together easy enough and we tighted each screw so we made it as sturdy as possible but it is still jiggly. Concerned, I would almost return this but now its together so what do I do right? I guess thats how it works sometimes. Too many parts. Assembly is a pain.
We bought this loft bed for our 8yo daughter. It was very easy to assemble, good quality, and the perfect size piece for her smaller room. Very Sturdy product.
So disappointed! First, the product came with 2 duplicated beams and missing one. My husband had to drill a hole on the opposite side of the wrong beam to make it work, no instructions provided ( we had to Google them) then the bed was dented, chipped and scratched in various visible places as seen in the pictures, it really hurts to play all this money to receive a product that was Missing main parts and all cracked, dented and chipped. This is a lift bed, its so dangerous to NOT send all the correct pieces.
My 9 and 5 year/old kids share a room. My initial set up was using the ikea Flysta bookcases to divide the room// that could have been great if their room has a bit more sq ft of space! So I kept looking and searching for new ideas on Pinterest and YouTube etc. I want each kid to have their own space but not to sacrifice the overall space in the room. Finally I decided to use loft beds. I myself had one when I was little. BUT I didnt like that straight ladder and small desk with built in wardrobe under the bed. I think this simple loft bed with walk/in desk area is better. Kids can put whatever they prefer behind the desk and the desk is a good size too! Its like they each have their own cubicle! I have attached 2 pictures. Yes its pretty messy but u get the idea. I also had to take a risk not knowing if I could fit 2 loft beds (80 inches each) side by side in the room (but it was perfect fit like custom made!) Also the bed is sturdy! I am not light and I climbed on the ladder and even briefly sat on the bed without problem . Assembly took like 2 hours with 2 people. One person assembly would be hard and u need to have a platform/ cabinet/ ladder to help hold on to the loft bed pieces. But all in all, instruction is easy to follow, wood feels solid and sturdy ( our navy beds are up for a month and dont have wood cracking problem like the other reviewer theirs may actually be paint cracking?), also great design! Oh and my 2 kids love it!
Maybe I was lucky both of the loft beds arrived with fine packaging, wood is fine with only minor not/so/smooth area on the inside of 1 ladder and no dent/ chip/ missing parts! Really good.
I really love the design of this bed. The desk is a great feature. However, the wood started cracking all over almost immediately (see picture). Not sure if itll be safe to use for much longer. My son loves it!!

For the very plush cost it could be sturdier.
