My son loves this bed. It is really strong, the slide is fun, and the ladder is great for physical therapy because it encourages my son to use his left arm. Your child can use the bottom part as a tent or you can place another mattress down there when playmates sleep over.
Weve had this bed for our son since last June (7 months!) First the slide broke broke (about 2 months ago) and now the guard rail broke off. Without the slide the bed is very wobbly and noisy. The slats are also already dipping in the middle. Great Idea, poor quality.
I got this loft bed for my son for his 5th birthday. We are very happy with it. Putting it together was very easy, and it is very sturdy. The size and height it great, and my son absolutely loves it! Couldnt be happier with it!
I gave this bed only two stars because of that lingering feeling that we spent too much money for such poor quality and that we should have spent a little more for a different product. The bed is very sloppily manufactured with poor tack welds and plastic ends that are not fastened correctly. There is a portion of the area around the slide that I will need to put some type of cover over because the plastic edging is fastened so badly that it forms a sharp edge. I definitely would not recommend using this bed without a curtain. The castle curtain we bought hides many of the defects and truly makes the bed.
The loft arrived without any instructions and no parts list. Also part of the ladder was badly damaged, so much so that it clearly had to have been packed by the manufacturer defectively. We found the manual for this bed online. You will need what they call an IM number. We found this number on the label of the shipping box. The IM number for this product is B34551309801. The bed itself goes together relatively quickly with two people. We lost a lot of time trying to find the manual, figuring out what the damaged part was and whether we could still assemble the bed without the damaged piece but after that it took us approximately 1.5 hrs.
Given the way the bed goes together, you can assemble it without the ladder piece and add that later. I called customer service the following day to request a new ladder, part number T910480 (taken from the manual which has a complete parts list of what you should expect to arrive in the box). The customer service agent was very harried and there was some confusion as to what replacement part I needed even though I had the part number. The customer service agent finally indicated that I would be getting the new part in 7-14 days. However, it was such an abrupt conversation that I dont have a lot of faith that this piece will be arriving.
The one positive, despite all of this, is that our almost 4 year old loves the bed, especially because of the castle curtain and the slide. She has no complaints and has been telling everyone about it.
We bought a Signature Sleep 6 memory foam mattress for this bed and it fits well in the loft bed and is very comfortable. We also bought purple LammaLoe Colortastic sheets which match the purple in the castle curtain and fit the mattress well.
I have two daughters - one is eight, one is two. The two-year-old sleeps under this bed on a crib mattress, which gives her extra room to play and store stuffed animals, and the older girl sleeps on the top. They have both slept safely on the top bed but the toddler prefers to be downstairs in the castle. I added a cute purple and pink castle-themed curtain set purchased from another retailer that starts with a K - you can look for Princess Fairytale loft curtains. My other addition was a bookcase shaped like stairs from a big Scandinavian retailer. The girls climb up those like stairs or up the slide rather than using the built-in ladder. My guess is that most kids climb up the slide instead of the ladder anyway. I am 100 lbs. myself and I can slide down the slide with no problem, so its pretty sturdy.
I had seen a review of this online that said it took the person 2+ hours to assemble. I did it in less than an hour by myself with no problems, but Im really good at following directions.
The bed itself (without the slide) was very easy to assemble. The directions were clear, no missing parts, everything was well packaged. Then we got to the slide, which theoretically should have been the easiest part to do. I think someone else did the directions for the slide. It just did not make sense and it took longer to assemble this one portion than the entire rest of the bed. Also, the bottom part of the slide had some very sharp angles that hurt. Fortunately the room is carpeted. If it were a wooden floor, the sharp edges on the slide would leave deep gouges on the floor.
Once fully assembled, the bed seems fairly sturdy and my son loves it.
Had my concerns about this bed. Would it be strong enough. Would it come in a flat box and take long, frustrating hours or days to assemble.
So, got the bed and yes, long flat box. But thats what I expected. But, the bed went together wonderfully. It took me 3 hours (but thats with the 4 year old grand baby helping). Probably could have done it in 2 if she had not been there.
Are we pleased: ABSOLUTELY!! Very sturdy construction. No concerns at all over whether it is sturdy enough or not. Relatively easy to put together.
Is 4 yr old Granddaughter pleased: ABSOLUTELY!! She loves it! We got one of the pink curtain sets to go with it, so, the top is the bed and underneath is the Fort. She just loves it. Especially the slide. Up and down for hours
One thing. If you are buying the curtains for the bed, check the manufacturer website as well. has a couple of the options for sale, but, the mfg has many more curtain sets available on their website.

Great bed, super fun!
This is a great bed. Its relatively easy to assemble. The slide is great and the metal frame makes a great option for decorating with magnets.
Great for young kids!!
This bed was simple enough for a single mom to put together! My daughter loves it and it is very durable. Recommend this!
Disappointed and making do

Its like a jungle gym in the house~
He climbs and slides and plays on and under it all day (we have the tent covering for the bottom) and he sleeps on it at night! It is perfect!
