This week I bought a new bed and mattress eschewing decades of bohemian ways: mattress on a palette on the floor. I bought a bed and a new mattress. Wow. What a treat. Getting out of bed is no longer like a bad day at the gym. You just bail out and you are ready to go.
This product is impressive and not a throwaway item unlike its cheaper brethren in the market place. The packaging was impressive. Even the styrofoam inserts were encased in a thin plastic avoiding cracked and migrating fragments often associated with styrofoam. This item was thoughtfully conceived and constructed. The wood was nicely cut and milled and all the parts were well fitted to one another. I strayed from the instructions and placed the middle legs first before attaching the rails to the end rails. When I placed the rails with the center supports on the floor they perfectly balanced unsupported! Nice engineering. The plans were big and clear and easy to understand. The bolts were muscular and fitted their purpose with firm assurance. Again, someone or a team thoughtfully constructed this bed and packaging with focus, care and QUALITY. I was writing a rave review even before I was finished putting the bed together with the one tool needed (provided).

Love our platform bed. Looks really nice. Great price. Assembly instructions are easy to follow. Weve owned it for about 7 months now and its holding up pretty well. Only issue for me, which really is not a big deal is that I wish the headboard is a little higher. Our mattress is about 12 thick. Can barely see the headboard with the pillows resting against it.
I bought this together with a Sleep Master mattress. This frame is superb! I now have a tremendous bed for very little money.
The first thing to note is that the frame comes in a relatively long, heavy box. Moving the box can be challenging if you are alone or if you dont have a lot of strength. Dont let this deter you, however, because the end result is worth any minor inconvenience.
I spent about an hour or so putting it together. At first, the instructions were a bit odd because they use letters and numbers concurrently on the parts list, and they dont seem to match up exactly with the directions. Once you start assembling it, though, it isnt that difficult. The illustrations are very clear.
The wood is solid (which explains the weight of the box when I received it), the hardware is great, and all that is needed to put it together is the Allen Wrench that is included.
The wood slats are kept in place with velcro and it is nicely engineered. Two of the slats have adhesive that keeps the mattress in place, too. I dont see the mattress being prone to moving off the frame anyway, even if there are extreme shenanigans happening.
I recommend getting a frame with a headboard. It looks nice and enhances the solid feel of the bed overall. I highly recommend this frame, especially when paired with a mattress.
