Purchased in October and just now putting it together. It came two days before we left on a 10 day vacation and three days after getting back from vacation, my husband broke his collarbone.
Wow. This is so beautiful. Looks as though it cost at least 3x what it is. Never had a platform bed before and I love it. No more scraped knuckles tuc in sheets between mattress and footboard. Really simple to assemble. Only complaint I looked everywhere for the screws they showed in the diagram and ended going to store for them. Once I was ready to put it together I realized they were already in place and they had to be partially screwed out. Directions werent clear on that part. That aside I am really happy with the purchase.
As shown on the picture. it is big and heavy so women should get someone to help if they are single. All the materials are in the back zipper and it was easy to put together.
I did a great deal of research and reviewing before we purchased this bed so I am going to be as detailed as possible. I was very interested in the slats and the fact that I did not want to have to purchase a box spring and I wanted to try a gel mattress which led me to purchase this particular bed. The bed was delivered a day late which was perfect for us because we were out of town. The box was in GREAT condition and extremely heavy / my husband and I attempted to take it upstairs and I simply couldnt carry it. We ended up opening the box in the driveway which was a great idea and carrying the pieces/parts/slats ma a couple of trips. As in other reviews, there are no written directions / all pictures are fairly easy to follow. I spread everything out and began following the diagrams which ended up being relatively easy and not ta nearly as long as I had expected. The trick is to loosen the screws that are already on the headboard and the footboard BEFORE you begin attaching everything AND, make sure you have tightened everything as much as possible. We went around the entire frame after I completed putting the bed together to ensure that nothing was loose. This bed is not only gorgeous, but very sturdy and tight. I purchased a 10.5 inch mattress which fits perfectly / it is very comfortable and there is no shifting. The mattress allows plenty of room for the viewing of the headboard. The look is modern and refreshing comparing to our former four poster bed which is now in our guest room. I would highly recommend this bed!
Easy to put together, sturdy and looks WAY more expensive than it was! Used a Tuft and Needle mattress on it and its supported really well. Headboard is soft and comfortable to brush up on while sleeping.
