    Slats too far apart

I have had this frame for a year. The screws come loose over time and have to be tightened with the allen wrench. Also, the slates are a bit over three inches apart, which many higher end mattresses recommend slats be no more than 2 inches apart or it will void your warranty.

    the color...

Bed is nice. But I ordered rustic pine. The color is completely different from the picture.. Its brighter and orange than the picture..Im going to stain them.

    Its fine

Got this because the reviews were GREAT, but I think its pretty much okay. Good points: easy to put together, sturdy as in I dont expect it to fall apart. The frame has an attractive silhouette. Bad points: its *exactly* the size of the mattress with no lip for the mattress to sit behind, so any time the mattress is shifted even a tiny bit the slats show (there are peel-off strips on the slats under which is a sticky substance that will keep the mattress from shifting; I didnt peel these off because I dont want gummy adhesive on my mattress). Its fairly light and so it shifts a lot on my hardwood floor; I have scuffs under the feet of the frame after just a few weeks. Finally, I ordered the cherry stain and it arrived looking pretty *orange*. I plan to re-stain it at some point. It cost about what a simple wood frame would have cost, and my last frame was heftier and more nicely finished (and came with a headboard).

Product is great! Company? NOT so great

So...Im old but I can usually put furniture together pretty easily. The instructions for this bed confused the heck out of me because it didnt show the front side/back side with shading of any kind and I ended up trying to put one of the boards on backwards. When I screwed in the screws, it pulled out threaded metal sleeve inside the board...and cracked the board. I called the help line and could barely understand the person but she seemed to be telling me that because it involved the headboard, I would have to repackage the entire frame and send it back. You would not believe all the packaging! I wish I had taken a photo! I will say it was carefully packaged (each piece of styrofoam was wrapped in a plastic bag!) but I could not imagine trying to repackage it and returning it! And I would have had to rent a truck to take it to a shipper because the box was as long as a bed and must have weighed close to 100. I thought Id try to email support and was delighted to receive a response in less than 12 hours.... Ha! I sent more detailed information as well as photos as they requested.... crickets. Its been over a week now. I finally paid a friend to help me. Really, really disappointing service because the product is excellent .... so far.

Had 4 years: good quality but poor design gouges hardwoord floors

(3 stars after 4 years of ownership) Good quality on a budget, but it WILL scratch your hardwood floors / rip your carpeting. I will be replacing after 4 years as a result. Why: The middle leg on the bottom is both the most load bearing and weakest point of the frame. When it breaks (which it will unless you are perfectly still whenever in bed), the leg rotates at an angle and plants the edge of its base into the floor. This gouges hardwood floors since that middle bar is where all the weight is being distributed to and it is not locked in place!! Once the middle bar is damaged (you will not know when it breaks unless you regularly inspect), the rest of the frame has to handle that load. This introduces a LOT of wear and tear, with screws literally ripping out of their threaded inserts under pressure. The frame really starts to fall apart by that point, and once the screw threads are ripped its all downhill.

    Color not as advertised

I had seen other photos with different color variations, so just know that this product seems to be very inconsistent. I contacted asking about it and they told me they had no information on this. Other than that, the bed frame seems to be sturdy and well made.

    The legs are not even

First, the bed is nice looking enough, and sturdy enough to hold a queen mattress, and support 300lbs between two adults. That said, ours had a slight problem - the center metal support beam is about 1/4 longer than the legs, which makes the bed wobble. We put shims to even it out, which is not the best, but itll work. This discrepancy may vary with different beds, but just something to know. Its unfortunate that there is no easy way to contact the maker.

    Awesome King Bed

So easy to put together for someone as mechanically challenged as I am. This bed is awesome. Made of solid wood and super easy to assemble. Comes with a wrench and instructions. The only challenge I faced was one of the slat was 1-2mm longer than the others; however, I pushed it hard enough to fit it in the frame. I bought this king size bed when it was on sale ($222.70 only).
