It is not too low at all with just a mattress, and its fine with a toddler bed bumper (although the slats are pretty flush with the top so not a lot of divet to anchor it). Also, its not white like our changing table or dresser. Its more of a very light grey or greige. But grey is in style anyway and it fits a boy very well. For the price, its a great bed! Very happy with the wood and the simple style for a small room. You cant go wrong for the price.

Exactly what I was looking for This bed was very easy to assemble. I assembled by myself with no issues. It feels really sturdy. No one has slept on it yet but seems very good for pricing. I really like how it has Velcro on slats, so no slipping, I had never seen that on a bed frame before. My headboard had some damage to it that looked like maybe they fixed and resold but I didnt feel like going through the whole process of getting it refunded since my other furniture in the bedroom has a refurbished vibe.
