This bed works well for our needs. The assembly was somewhat simple and the mattress feels well supported. Unfortunately, they sent the wrong color and it didnt seem worth the hassle to return it, so we kept the light color.
Love the look and it is at a great price. We couldnt find the spines legs for a while, until just before we were about to throw the box out. They are hidden, but necessary to keep the frame from dipping in the middle!
Bought the king size bed platform in dark brown. Put it together in a jiffy with no problems. Box was packed well and all instructions, fasteners and tools were there. Appears to be good solid wood, not sure what kind though and you should include a touch up color stick for minor chips and scratches. Everything is wood except for the middle rail and its three support legs ( which you wont really see unless you look under it ) which are metal. Wood slats stick to the frame via some velcro strips ( genius ) and the mattress lays on top of that. Nothing a guy couldnt build himself if he likes to work with wood but for a couple hundred dollars you save yourself a ton of time and effort. Nice touch by the company including some information about them as well as some cards to send off to some friends and family if you like. I would buy stuff from all day long
I did have to buy some furniture pads to balance it from rocking. Seems that the middle legs are slightly longer than the outside ones, causing it to rock

Great bed
This is a perfect bed for my guest room. Ive had 2 people use it and both slept soundly and comfortably. Sturdy, well made. Easy to assemble.
