Gave this to my son for his new apartment. It looks great and is perfect for small spaces. He uses the storage area for blankets and it doubles as a coffee table with a tray on top of it. Great purchase!
This is exactly as pictured, the legs are the only assembly and they are very easy to put on, no tools required. This is safety hinges so that it is soft to open and close, no chances of children getting fingers slammed. I thought it would have a bigger storage, based on the picture. However, it is not that big, I can fit two thin throws in it or one larger one to give an example. But the color, the style and material are very nice and this is an excellent value for the money. I would purchase again.

The build is sturdy, we have no problem with adults (even heavy adults) sitting on it.
My favorite part is the storage - can be used for blankets off season. Were using in the rec room can be used to store the kids toys or game controllers.
I was concerned the velvet might be a bit fragile, but its not - its upholstery quality. The color is a deep, rich color - a nice pop color for any variety of design motifs (mid century, modern, art deco, etc).
Its light enough to lift, move, carry around, even store on a shelf in the garage if you need it out of the way for a little while.
I have no complaints at all, thumbs up all around.
