Wanted something to hide the litter box and wanted to be able to place food and water dishes up so our dog couldnt reach it. Shipped and arrived quickly. Assembly was easy. Looks pretty.
Assembly was not easy, not hard. Very nice look. Goes along with our decor. However, it is very difficult to find a cat litter pan that fits inside so you can close the door. We have bought several, even the extra small, but it still sticks out. Once we find the right litter pan, it will be great.
I love the idea of this. It helps hide the litter box. But... this is a bit cheaply made. The magnet for the door has fallen off. The screws ripped right out in less than a month. But the product does its job so I cant be too hard on it.
Looks pretty good and went together easy. I might have given it 5 stars had it not come with the paint chipping on the top and the hole drilled too deep on the side causing the paint to be blistering. I have attached photos. I will call the company on Monday as the instructions state do not call the store for assistance. Hopefully they will be able to resolve the short comings.
I like the look of the cat house but I wouldnt recommend if you have a messy cat. The instructions were a joke but the assembly video was very helpful for getting it all set up. One of the sides cracked when I was screwing in the pieces so dont know how durable this thing will be. My main complaint is that the bottom is by no means sealed so if you have a messy cat be sure to add something underneath the litter box or the house to avoid leakage.
This is much sturdier than I anticipated. I had no problems putting it together and it looks great. (Im a 48 year old woman with back problems and no engineering degree.) I purchased 3 different cat houses on for hiding litter boxes around my home. This is beautiful and no one notices what is hiding behind the door. I put it together and placed the litter box inside, then I left the door open for a couple of days so that the cats got used to it and could check it out. Then, I shut the door and they seemed to never notice the change. Easy to sweep out if needed. I purchase a litter box with higher sides to keep the kitties from spraying the inner walls. I just slide it out, scoop and slide it back in. Easy peasy. I placed it just under a window and have a decorative tree next to it. I placed a decorative cushion on top and the cats love to snuggle on top of it and watch cat TV out the window.
We bought this unit for a summer place, and we were so happy with it that were buying another for our home. Our cat had no problem using the opening. (We werent sure before we bought it)
I was a little alarmed by the odor of the paint on the cat house parts just out of the box. My cat, who normally explores every nook and cranny, would not go into it until I put her catbox in it, which changed the odor enough, I guess.
I put the thing together. The instructions were visual, but not really broken down into steps, and the pictures were very, very small. I think this company could learn something from in this regard.
After reading the reviews I also decided to line the inside of the structure to be better waterproofed, but I did not want to spray with a toxic waterproof substance. I used a vinyl contact paper liner instead.

Beautiful, but VERY small
Assembly was not easy, not hard. Very nice look. Goes along with our decor. However, it is very difficult to find a cat litter pan that fits inside so you can close the door. We have bought several, even the extra small, but it still sticks out. Once we find the right litter pan, it will be great.

I really liked this beautiful cat box, unfortunately the box was to small for my 16 pound cat.

Good
It does what we intended it to do. Keep the dog from eating the cat food. Definitely having 2 people to assemble is helpful
