I purchased this table after a long search for a table for my guest bedroom to fill a blank wall. The size and style were right, and the finish looked like it would match the black/maple dresser already in the room. The wood grain, both in the black and the top portions are kind of cheap looking, but Im hoping to cover it with enough chotchkies that itll be hard to notice. I cant personally comment on assembly, since my father put it together for me, but he did say that he broke two of the connector pieces for the bottom shelf putting it together. Said they were flimsy as a soda can. However, after a call to the manufacturer, they sent out 4 replacement pieces within a week.
If you just need a space filler for a room you dont spend a lot of time in (like me), then this piece will probably work for you. But its definitely not something youd showcase in your home. Servicible, decent looking, but could be a lot better. And most definitely over-priced for the quality.

As for the top, its more of a brown than an actual driftwood, but looks fantastic either way. My attached pics are a fair representation of the color.

We use this for our new television. Old one died replaced with a larger one ( cheaper now ), 55 fits perfectly .
