The desk itself is very sturdy and put together nicely. There is no exposed particle board and assembly was easy. You do need a screwdriver but the Allen wrench is included. The drawback: shipping time. told us it would be delivered on a specific day and it was delayed 5 days. It arrived at about 7:30 am. TLDR if you don’t mind waiting and being annoyed by not knowing where it is, it’s a perfect desk. Solid.
This desk serves its purpose but they should send extra screws (see pic) because some of ours were not even made right so now we have a desk that will hopefully be sturdy enough for two computers without all the screws.
Didn’t come with any instructions, so it to awhile to put together. We are hoping we put it together correctly. We had tons of screws and bolts leftover♀️ But couldn’t tell ya if we used the right ones in the right place since it didn’t come with instructions. I will say I do love the look of it.
The box arrived taped in several places where it looks like it had been thrown down the steps and then taped back together. When the box was open, several broken pieces of wood (that looked like shelves) and styrofoam fell out. But the pieces to the desk were all fine. The broken wood turned out to be packing material that just looks like a shelf. It took the brunt of the abuse. Several of the pre-drilled holes did not line up so the screw could not be inserted. I had to redrill them or leave the screws off. And the cross-brace poles could not be used. They were all an inch too short. The overall unit once built looks good but the manufacturer needs to do some quality control before those kits leave the factory.
The instructions are horrible and there are no extra screws which sucked because on the of the screws was messed up. Also there was a horrible smell and this ugly red color on the back
Directions need to be much more reasonable so many screws and doesnt tell u where to put the correct screw it like a jigsaw puzzle putting it together I would never had been able to put it together myself and took my guy friend 2 hours to do it due to poor directions
First off, this box is HEAVY!
1. There are extra wood pieces that support the box/package for shipment. That’s all they’re used for. Unless it ends up like mine. Not level. Then, you will take one of those wood pieces and use them to level it. *sigh*
2. The piece with the cord hole. The ugly red color side (yes a few pieces are different color on one side), that piece faces outward. So this desk can only be used against a wall. I made the mistake of putting that red side, inward. Because why would the wood not match on the outside, right? Wrong. The metal bars in the back need that side facing outward to screw them on.
3. Install was a little tedious at times. Just when I thought things were going smoothly, I had to use logic, since it doesn’t say in the directions, which way each piece went on. Some pieces had labels, some did not. The top part of the cubby is smaller than the rest, don’t question it. It will be covered by the desk top pieces.
4. Those darn desk top pieces. Just when you see the end in sight, those darn things come in to play and the holes don’t match up in the middle. So, you take the bolts out of the end you already secured in, flip it around and start at the middle instead and they actually fit there! Yessss! Then you go back to the other end, very happy because you’re just about done, but then those don’t line up...NOT even close. *face palm* thankfully the side holes match up so you can secure it a bit. Then, you move onto the next side (since it’s a double station, the top is 2 sections— thought it was 1). That side goes on the way it should, but you can’t tighten the front side down because the hole is stripped.
5. Get a different desk. Unless, this doesn’t bother you and you want take the chance that you will get the correct pieces.
6. This is a super large desk, just what I was looking for. Just wish it assembled correctly. Very disappointed.
None of the correct hardware came with the desk. Thankfully our hardware store is close, we made several trips. Also the leveling knobs that go under each end dont fit into the holes. If it werent so much trouble to send back, I would have sent it back.
In a nutshell, unclear instructions, OK quality, but looks great! Assembling it was frustrating as there are no print instructions at all, just pictures, and even the pictures arent even clear. Theres one section when putting the top panels on, the screws to use in the manual were wrong. It was too long and poked a hole through the wood. That leads me to, if a screw can poke a hole through the wood, the quality isnt that great. But, it does the job (of a desk). Also, the instructions for assembling the back panel doesnt show the hole of the actual piece of wood, so I put it on the wrong direction and the metal sticks in the back didnt fit. I realized it much later and had to redo that piece so I could connect the metal sticks.

Great desk. Annoying shipping.

Good deal but missing hardware

No instruction assembly

Nice desk, Frustrating Build

Be prepared

Needs better directions to assemble

The top doesn’t line up correctly to install.

Looks nice but not great quality and stability.

Overall- useful and sturdy enough for the what its needed for
