This chair is big, I am a 56 around 140 lbs and my 4 yr old daughter and I fit side by side in this chair easily. It is a bit hard, however I am hoping over time is softens up with use. I love the look, modern and retro at the same time. Enjoyed it.
Love the color and style! It fits perfectly into my little space. It has a firm sit. Good for posture and conversation but not the best for lounging. Easy to fix with a few squishy pillows. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. I love this!
You can see my initial review post below. This update finds me with a new chair that arrived incredibly quickly from . The return process (because it was sold by ) was very, very easy. The new chair had zero construction issues. All four legs screwed in firmly and the chair provides plenty of room and support for my big frame. I like the firmness of the cushion a lot, and the fact that its wider than I am. Id like to buy the matching sofa, but doesnt sell it (3rd party only) and Im not sure I want to run the risk of having a horrific return experience if it arrives having the same problem as the first chair. Buy directly from ! If there are issues, the return process is amingly efficient and simple.
This is the initial review of a saga that I hope ends up garnering more stars and having a happy ending. I ordered the chair on May 26 and it arrived on May 29. It was nice that it came directly from and qualified for Prime shipping. It was also nice that the UPS delivery driver actually carted the box inside my apartment complexs courtyard and up a flight of stairs to leave it at my door // something that was unexpected.
The packaging was adequate and the chair arrived in good shape. However, like some other reviewers stated, there was a slight problem with the mounts for the legs. Three of the four were OK; however the brass/colored threaded nut that is embedded in the wood // into which the leg is to be screwed // was protruding slightly from the base. The other three were flush. I put the legs on, including the not/quite/right one, and they seemed to be OK. In fact, I enjoyed sitting and even lounging in the chair for a few days. But, when I tried to get up from the chair, the not/quite/right leg gave way and collapsed. My guess is because it was not fully anchored. Im now going to pursue a replacement through s replacement policy and see how that goes.
That being said, I love(d) the chair. Im a big, wide guy and there was still room for all of me and more. I like the firmness of the cushion and the construction of the chair itself (minus the leg mounts) feels sturdy and solid. I purchased the wheatgrass color, which appears just as it does in the photos on . Its a great color that fits well with the mid/century style of the chair itself. My intention is to purchase the sofa as well; however, I have a bit of trepidation based on my experience with the legs of the chair.
If the replacement process goes well, I hope to report again with a higher rating and a happy ending. Good product!
Purchased in gray, looks as pictured. Was the mid/century look that I was seeking.
No issues assembling the legs, and no visible issues with the frame as other reported.
Find the chair easy to sit in, not soft, but still has the space to lean back and relax in. beautiful.
This modern looking chair is a statement piece. It looks beautiful! Its wonderful for sitting in, but if youre looking for that comfy chair to take a nap in, this isnt it. I need.
Great chair. i looked and looked for something mid century and this was the winning look. The cushion is very firm, but most mid century furniture of this design has a very firm seating. I added some throw pillows and it feels great. It is a large chair but i was getting rid of another club chair that that was about the same size so it works. The gray color does tend to have more blueish tones, so the color pictured is a little off. Not nearly as blackish gray as the closeup in picture. But not bad enough to return. I had no problems with the legs as others have stated. maybe they worked that flaw out. All in all a great chair. Now my mid century sofa looks shabby next to it. Gonna have to get a new sofa now! Awesome product.
These are absolutely beautiful chairs!!!! They are a little stiff to start but after sitting in them they soften up. The back height is perfect as it comes up to my shoulders (I am 54) and my son and I can sit in one chair and read his books. If seating is tight (we had a New Years party) adults were even sitting 2 per chair. Color is very rich looking and assembly is a breeze. I get compliments on these chairs all the time. They are mod, but modern at the same time. Absolutely beautiful! Please dont mind the baseball in my photo below! It was long winter! Easy build,
I bought two of these chairs. The material is far nicer than I expected and they are very comfortable with some small throw pillows. The only negative I can think of is that the legs require some tension spacers(included) to be assembled. The spacers can gap/out the junction between the frame and the legs. The legs spin/thread into place / Id rather that they were jointed/inset with a screw fastener. Definitely worth it.

Big chair.
