Ive put together a fair amount of furniture in my life, and can sometimes get by without even looking at the instructions. Everything started well with putting this bunk bed together. Until it came time to install the long bars between the headboard and footboard. There are several different configurations, depending on whether you want the ladder on the right or left. Unfortunately the instructions gave zero guidance on this, and you are left guessing which long bar to use for bottom bunk, top bunk, back or front, so we put it together and took it apart no less than three times. Unbelievably insane and frustrating. A two hour job turned into 45 hours and I dont ever want to assemble another piece of furniture again for the rest of my life. Now that its over and a few months have passed, I can admit that its a nice sturdy bed and my son enjoys it.
I knew by the reviews, this would shakey but I assumed it would only be a bit. It rocks quite a bit. Once Im up there, its not as bad but still rocks if you make sudden movements. Its very unnerving going up the ladder because it hurts your feet and it feels like you are pulling the whole bed on top of you with how unstable it is. Immediately bought a ladder that I could lean on, so much better. Ive had it for about a month, I got used to the shakiness but its still wobbly. I also wish it was more clear you have to drill holes to your wall to help keep it stable. I didnt and honestly dont think it would make much of a difference except if its for a kid and you wanted prevent it tipping over.
Okay so Im a 29 year old man who decided to get a loft bed. The bed was easy to set up. I recommend 2 people but you can do it with one. I weigh 230lbs and this bed can hold me up like a champ. I did so much research on this bed because come on. Youre either a minimalist, a parent or a space saver. The loft saved me so much room and its great. There is one downside of having a loft bed though. The bars on the ladder are unforgiving on bare feet. What I did to counter this is put a pool noodle on them. Youll thank me later. another down side is that if you like to have playtime in the bedroom then forget it. you may want the loft with a futon below it.
Do not buy this if you have low ceilings.
Pros:
cool for kids
Excellent lounge space underneath
Not to tricky to put together
No sharp edges
Cons:
take apart
Freakin impossible to make the bed
A little unstable for anyone over 150lbs
I like the bedframe and storage it has to offer, however, I was displeased with the fact there was a missing piece and manufacturer error for one of the bolt holes on one side of the frame. I managed to assemble the bedframe nevertheless. Sturdy and clears up space for small rooms.
The ladder has round rungs and hurts the childs feet. Most kids are going to be bare footed when going to bed. The steps should be flat. They hurt the childs feet so bad that we would not have bought this product if we had known beforehand. The only other problem is that when the child gets to the top of the ladder he has to crawl over the very top rail to get in the bed which makes it easier for the child to fall. There should be an opening the width of the ladder so the child doesnt have to go over the top rail.

Perfect fit in room, son loves it
Wish bars all around were a bit thicker.
Insane lack of instructions

Very shakey but reliable

Sturdy and space saver. However, manufacturer error .

Thank you
does the job
Well done!
So far so good! Nice bed, easy to put together and really solid. My daughter loves it!
Great for tweens
Took twice the time as the top bed frame was put on upside down.
