ONE-PERSON ASSEMBLY: Buy some Painters Tape!

This is a revised review as my previous one was a one-star due to the fact that you need a second person to just hold things tight before you can even use screws. It took me about an hour to assemble what I could say is an adult version of Jenga as the slightest movement would cause over 20 pieces to fall apart...so I used painters tape to hold in the slats and once the top of the sides were done...use more painters tape to wrap around several places and hold everything together before you move on to the other parts. Another tip...dont throw away that huge styrofoam block yet...use it when assembling the back railing as you can prop up the lower back railing that way. Bottom line...annoyed because of so many small pieces used to create bigger pieces that then get used to assemble the rest of the bed. Overall the bed looks solid afterwards...minus 1 star because mine came with a dent in one of the pieces AND two of the pieces were mistagged but the instructions showed the correction. If you want to go with a foam mattress...try going to Home Depot/Lowes and getting a very thin piece of plywood and have it cut 74 x 53.5 to fit a full bed. And then looking at foam mattresses you can go with a 8 inch foam that will allow you an extra inch for a topper if you desire...but the thicker the mattress...the smaller the bed looks.

The Comfort of the Dorel Full daybed

I like the Dorel Full Daybed for the uniqueness of the size. I fits two people well. The assembly of the bed took me all day by myself, however the instructions are easy to un understand. Becaise of how unique the full size day bed is, I had to purchase queen size bedding because its kind of difficult to find a full size daybed set... most daybed sets are twin size.

Awesome peice but needs thicker slats or bucky board

Beautiful bed. And easy to set up. Two people construction is most helpful. Recommend buying a Bucky board after you screw in the slats that would be under the mattress as the slats are thin and flex under weight. Im 205lb and to lay with my daughter to watch tv was sketchy. After the bucky board... No problem. Super solid.

    Sturdy, classic looking

Exactly what I was looking for We love the bed, it is good quality overall, solid and sturdy. My son has it in his studio apt using it as a bed/couch. The only thing is that it was a tad difficult to put together, but once you get going it is okay.

    Love the bed

Love the bed... did not like the assembly process. The directions were not the easiest to read and the parts were not labeled to match the directions. There were several pieces left over that were not in the section telling you what you were going to be using.
