So it seems that a lot of the negative reviews in terms of poor arrival condition might possibly depend on who happens to be the delivery contractor that you get stuck with. After receiving a text from the contractor a day after the order and scheduling a delivery, things went quickly and smooth. I wasnt there for receipt but I assume the driver forklifted it into my garage since it was on wood pallet and tightly secured. My sofa arrived as two separate pieces and were giant; at least 7 ft tall and taking up the entire pallet. The sofa had no signs of damage during delivery and was adequately wrapped with plastic wrap, within that with cardboard, and within that with a soft cloth/mesh that went around most of the sofa. The weight was totally manageable and I tumbled each piece up four steps and slid it into my living room without much effort.
Unwrapping the two pieces, it was immaculate with no rips, tears, or dirt. The instructions were straightforward and each piece houses underneath the headrests/hardware and the sleeper section, respectively. All you need to do is screw in the foot stands, screw in the sleeper convertible bracket assembly, drop the sections into place, and bang in the headrests.
The reason the assembly got a 3/5 was because a bunch of the studs in the sleeper cushion were misaligned. This made installing the convertible assembly (metal pieces that let the cushion fold up and out or underneath the sofa) a pain in the ass. I had to use a screwdriver to force them into place and the bolts stripped easily as they are made of a cheap metal.
Despite the inconvenience, the sofa looks fantastic, it feels well built with no wobbles, and the firmness isnt uncomfortable. It isnt nearly as soft as my coworkers Italian sofa of a very similar style, but it is completely passable and probably depends more on preference. Just beware, if you need a sofa that collapses around you, you will hate this since there isnt that much cushioning. The benefit is that I think it would be better for my back if I had to sleep on it. Awesome product.
Its gorgeous/ Im honestly obsessed. Its incredibly easy to assemble (before you freak and think they forgot the pillows/headrests, check the zippered compartment under the lounge!) its firm and sturdy (not super plush but thats how I prefer it), the PU is super easy to clean, and the pullout transforms an already great L/shape for entertaining into an enormous bed like area perfect for vegging out to Netflix or having a friend crash (without the weird squeakyness of a pullout mattress). The ONLY downside is the delivery carrier in my case was curb side drop off only so I (a very small 52 F) had to drag half of it up the stairs myself just to get my front door shut. Not an easy task, but the delivery has little bearing on how great this couch is. Last thing / the headrests are modular, allowing you to have a high or low back, really nice feature. Easy build,
Our couch came several days earlier than expected in two large well packaged boxes on a pallet behind our house. It was manageable enough for myself and my husband to get in the door and assemble fairly easy. We love how quickly and easy this becomes a huge lounging space! The only only negative was that a weld on one of the legs broke so its only sitting on the base plate and not welded to the pipe (leg). Luckily this is an easy fix since we are both welders. Would recommend! Fit well.
It wasnt easy to assemble. I would recommend getting expert assembly. Other than that I absolutely love it. Im very happy with this purchase! Definitely worth it.
I purchased this couch for our basement living area. Wanted something that multiple people can sit on when hanging out and something for us as a family to use for watching movies. This couch is perfect!! The pull out bed part is awesome for laying and watching movies with my little girls and it easily slides under the couch sitting area for when we have guests. It isnt the most comfortable couch but for the price Id still recommend. The track for the pullout portion gets twisted easily so sometimes the bed pulls away from the couch due to the little ones moving around a lot. That is the only negative thing I have to say about the purchase. Nicely made.
