    Great Daybed w/ Trundle

We were looking for a lightweight combination sofa daybed and this is perfect. Very easy to assemble and even came with extra parts. Ours was missing a slat so I requested a replacement from the manufacturer website. Much to our surprise, a replacement arrived just a couple days later! If there was one negative it would be the casters on the trundle. They attach with one nut and bolt. Cannot get them tight enough to keep the casters in place, especially with any weight on the trundle at all. Each caster should have two holes to keep them in place. Ill be replacing the 4 nuts/bolts with some that have lock washers to see if that makes them more sturdy. Other than that, we are very pleased with this daybed.

REALLY disappointed until I made some custom changes! See below for suggestion!

This might be worth a read before buying! The couch is OK, but you can make it better with a few more things to make it work! 3 Stars because I had to spend an extra 150 to make it usable. Ill preface this with my goal was to have a daybed as my living/room couch. Originally I had a 14 inch metal bed frame, but I was looking to create something more cozy and lower to the ground (more the appropriate height for a couch.) This frame was originally the answer to my desire! So I have created a list of pros and cons, and provided directions on how I made it look like and feel a cozy couch that can actually support two adults! PROS: 1. Its super easy to put together! I could do it by myself (30/F/not in great shape ) in about 2 hours, even with my dogs trampling everything. 2. Its very cute, and by far the most Couch like daybed frame for the price. I wish the sides where lower than the back, but thats my own preference and not what was advertised. 3. It appears to be pretty customizable. The parts are extremely basic. CONS: 1. Its slat is listed as a max weight of 450 pounds, and you do still have to factor in the mattress to that number. The con is that 450 is apparently a hard limit. My husband and I both weigh about 210, and the whole thing is unnervingly wobbly when were both sitting on it. The legs also bend inwards after a while and the screws need tightened regularly. Update on that: After taking it apart for my modification, it had already lost several screws from light use (I had avoided sitting on it out of fear) over a week. Maybe it was user error and I didnt tighten things well enough. But tbh the weight limit combined with wobbly/ness invoked enough fear in me that it leads me to believe that the frame wouldnt have worked out in the long run had I not made some changes. 2. Youre getting what you paid for. At around 300 this is a great price for the couch/like daybed frames! But it will cost more to make it truly usable. So, do with that what you will. 3. Its still a 14 inch bed frame! Youll be sitting 20/30 inches high. I read 8 inch clearance, and misunderstood that as meaning the cushions would start at 8 inches from the ground. (Since I wanted something lower than what I already had, that was pretty heartbreaking for it to still be 14 inches tall) So, here is what I did to give it a real couch feeling. I used a 10 inch mattress I already owned. Youll need: 1. A mattress, mine is 10 inches. Consider the height of your mattress when buying the box spring to determine how tall you want it to be. 2. A 5/7 inch METAL box spring that can support the weight of adults! The front piece of the couch is 7 inches tall. If you buy a box spring that is taller than 7 inches you can either leave the front piece off, which doesnt really look that bad tbh, or jerry rig it another way. But I bought the basics, 5 inch. 3. Some good adhesive for fabric/metal. OR if your more savvy with power tools/need it to be sturdier, metal L brackets and wood screws. Step 1: The legs are literally part of the structural integrity of the frame (which seems like extremely poor design in my opinion.) I removed ALL PARTS EXCEPT THE SIDES, no support for the slat, nothing but the 4 outer pieces. The back actually has some pretty sturdy brackets already so I just put some glue around it, I also glued the front sides together (or you could use L brackets and wood screws.) No matter how you do it, you just have to remove the legs. Otherwise the box spring wont fit inside. Step 2: Since its legless, the couch frame will be on the floor, which means, YAY! Its already looking more like a couch! You then build your 5 inch box spring and place it in the middle, put your mattress on top and your done! Here are some pictures of how mine turned out!

    Stylish

I chose the assembly and setup so the setup was easy. The tan color is very light and looked grey at first, but when I added pillows the tan color came out. This is a stylish addition to a small bedroom.

    Quality wood, sturdy, great value

Quality wood. Not particle board. No damaged parts. Everything fit and connected. Relatively easy to put together, but will need two people . Plan for about 2 hrs to assemble. The kids love their new bed. Love the extra storage draws for clothes and linens. Would definitely buy again.

    Weight limit is definitely correct

I got this for myself, extremely nervously as I love the design but all the reviews were for toddlers/children. The 400 lb limit is correct, im around 270 (why I was nervous) and it hasnt broken yet, even adding on another 45/50 lbs at one point when my nephew had to sleep on it w me when the trundle was full. It squeaks a ton but its completely understandable. Very cute, fits my aesthetic perfectly. I love it

Great bed, shipping took too long

I really am pleased with this purchase! I bought this bed for my son whom just turned 2 this month. The bed is sturdy my husband is 280lbs 6ft 1 was able to lay with my son(he laid at an angle) was comfortable! I was able to lay in bed as well(5ft2 250lbs) we bought an 8inch twin mattress in a box from Walmart it worked perfectly for this bed! I was upset about how long shipping took after ordering we received almost a month later. No missing or broken pieces. My husband was able to put together with no problems within a few hours. Overall I am satisfied with purchase. reviews gave me an iffy feeling about ordering but thankful i did. We have had the bed in use for about 2/3 weeks now. My sons room is a little small but its also my office because i work from home bed fits perfectly! Bed is a nice edition to room because it can also be used as a couch for people to sit on. My 3 toddler children was all able to fit in bed comfortably to sleep through the night

    Good for growing kid

We decided to redecorate our 6yos room and were looking for a good transitional bed, so we also wouldnt have to get another as he gets older. This was a great choice. Delivery was quicker than estimated, which was a pleasant surprise. Assembly was simple. The style is nice, with the navy blue fabric and slim structure. My son loves the bed. Were satisfied with the purchase.
