Not for Long/Term Use / An Okay Buy!

We got this for my Moms apartment and yes! It took hours to assemble for sure. What was most disappointing was the fact that it doesnt seem very sturdy and my husband thinks that it will last about a year or maybe even less. As he was assembling this cabinet he mentioned that the composite wood pieces were flaking so he used tape to keep it together. Honestly, this cabinet looks good but I wouldnt recommend it for long/term wear and tear and I am always looking to review a product before making any judgments. Most of the reviews I would have to agree with which is not something that normally influences my buys. Shipping and packaging was good. No complaints.

Works great, stores a lot of food for me

I was able to put this together fairly easy. All the pre drilled holes lined up perfectly and the instructions were easy enough to understand.

    Easy to put together

Easy to put together. I was able to do it myself. Every piece is labeled. The part that took the longest was adjusting the doors. It looks so good in my kitchen. I will be using it for a coffee bar.

    Great

I really suck at putting things together and I managed to put it together in two hours. Did run into an issue where the boards would not line up due to the holes being marked wrong but I just straightened them up and drilled new holes over all went well!

    Stains easily

This thing stains really easily. Not really good as a kitchen hutch, or if you have little kids or pets. Grease will show up on it and cant be cleaned. Otherwise its ok, it serves a purpose.

Worth the money / get what you pay for

Ok so I purchased this, as I love to cook but due to pandemic and getting furloughed, I had to downsize my apartment and ended up with a new place with a much smaller kitchen and no where to store all my beloved kitchen possessions. I have never in my life taken on a project like this but, in an effort to save more cash, and with all the time in the world, I reluctantly installed it myself and saved a boatload of cash in doing so as it took me a day and a half. I also paced myself took walks, naps, made myself some food in between. And, I told myself that I would only hire someone to build it, if I got to the point where I couldnt do it myself and that point never came. So the installation was smooth but, the time it took was a lot and since it was my first big project it was slightly nerve wracking. I learned Im pretty handy with a drill and its aming what we can accomplish when facing many challenges at once. As you can see from the images I provided, Im using mine as my pantry. TIPS FOR CUSTOMERS: I ended up buying cabinet handles (and the drawer pull) to match the ones in my kitchen. They havent arrived yet so Im just using the ones that came with this set until they do. I also purchased wire drawers that I stacked into one of the cabinets as pictured due to the lack of the number of drawers. I also used white caulk to fill in gaps between sections. POSITIVES: Its really sleek looking. Its really sturdy, so far. It does NOT wobble, as I expected it to. Time will tell? The hardware for this cabinetry is by far the best quality. (The screws provided and the fiberglass are not that great quality but the handles and cabinet door brackets seem like really good quality. NEGATIVES: the wood itself was super cheap and so it chipped super easily when I was nailing parts. The counter top scratches very easily so I would suggest treating it with something before using it. I learned it the hard way and scratched it a lot. Will have to see if there is a way to improve upon that. The counter top is very low. Im 56 so Im not that tall to begin with but my kitchen counter and bakers rack and both have much taller counter tops for cutting/chopping/ mixing so I wont be performing those tasks on this. When looking at it from the side it looks like its leaning forward. Its not. But the gape between the wall and the cabinet increases with its height, as pictured. SUGGESTIONS for Manufactuer/distributor: would be cool if we could customize the materials ie: better quality wood, door handles, colors for changes in price obviously. Would also be super cool if we could choose the color of counter top. Would have saved me more time if the instructions were a little more clear. Would be so aming if we could choose which side the drawer went on and or to add more drawers to it. Would be nifty if you guys offered tips/videos mon how to avoid or fix the concerns I mentioned (chipping of wood, scratching) ahead of time, so that the finished product was and remains better quality. As time goes on, I will update my review with any changes.

    Serves Purpose

I was looking for kitchen furniture with opaque cupboards that that would let my toaster oven and microwave sit side by side, and this was the only piece wide enough. It is not a particularly high quality or nice looking piece, and some of the particle board sections were already scuffed when we took them out of the box, but it will serve its purpose. Assembly took a few hours but was not awful. I could not find this information anywhere when I was trying to decide if I should buy it, but the base IS high enough to go over a gas radiator end cap of about two inches. It is fairly sturdy i.e. doesnt seem like it will collapse under the weight of appliances and canned goods.
