Honestly spent a lot of time contemplating this purchase after checking out the less than favorable reviews. You honestly just have to have common sense when putting it together. Very sturdy and great looking for the cost. It’s particle board covered in laminate, not real wood - but that’s what you get for the cost. Overall would absolutely recommend to anyone not looking to spend a lot on a coffee table.
Great get for what you pay. Assembly is a bit fiddly but not too bad, the pictorial instructions were pretty clear.
The table itself is made of particleboard but still feels solid, and the action on the lifting arms for the lid are nice and smooth.
The only thing it was missing is something to serve as a buffer between the lid and frame, so it makes a very laoud clack when closing. i pit some spare furniture leg pads on the underside corners and its much quieter.
The wife and I are very happy with the purchase overall. Its definitely a good value for what youre getting

Just moved into a smaller studio and needed a work from home solution that allowed for a desk and non work function. This does both like a dream!! The reviews scared me a bit in regards to assembly. Assembly was a breeze (and despite the instructions saying its a two person job, I did it just fine solo)

I love this thing. I thought the lift would be more smooth but it’ll do. Wipe it down before using it. I put it together with gloves on lol

The table has a very natural color, and reminds me of nature. It has additional storage space on the side in addition to the main table.
