Dont hate this at all for the money! Its cute, but definitely smaller than I expected and the color is more of a dark brown (I was hoping for a more natural wood look). The lift top is a little wobbly, and slams shut (maybe thats a user error when assembling more than anything.)
I am a single gal and this was both easy to put together and perfect for my space. The lift top allows me to hide all of my school work when guests come over, while also providing a space for me to put my computer while I am sitting in the living room. I love it!
People writing the negative reviews for this product are a combination of people who arent used to DIY assembly furniture, or people who had unrealistic expectations about this $130 table. Yes its particle board with a fake laminate on it that looks like solid wood. If you thought you were going to be getting solid wood for this price you were dreaming. As far as assembly goes, it is not difficult at all. Just take it step by step. If youve ever put together furniture from Ikea, same deal. The pictures and notes in the instructions were more than enough and I didnt have any issues with the legs, screws, gap between the two pieces of wood, etc. Ill mention the leg issue also because it almost made me not buy it, the legs are assembled pretty well. The only reason I can see people having these issues is that theyre putting way too much weight on this thing. Again, its a $130 particle board table. Super useful for my purposes but theres going to be a limit to how much weight or stress it will take. Long story short, the majority of the complaints on this table are from people who arent reading the instructions well, or arent familiar with tools or DIY furniture setup. I think the thing is great. Very happy with the purchase.
Reviews on here made it seem like this was so easy to put together. My roommate and I spent 6 hours by ourself and ended up having a Task Rabbit finish the job. Table is beautiful though!
its a nice table for the price! Im giving it a less-than-perfect score because its not wood, its pressboard. It takes about an hour to put together, maybe a little less, but its definitely an undertaking. Thankfully between the instructions and some really good reviews, I got this together pretty easily!
I really enjoy the way this table looks in my room. The instructions could have been a little clearer, but overall once it was assembled it fit together well.

Great coffee table
This wasn’t too hard to assemble. It took maybe an hour or two. It is sturdy and cute.
Not as easy to assemble as you’d think but very pretty!

Just what she needed, she really likes it!
It was a gift to my niece who is a schoolteacher, it works well with her home decor and fits all her needs.
its pressboard

Nice table for the price.
Nice table, one leg came cracked.
Sharp looking table, quality for the price.

DAMAGED
Table top of the table was damaged (chipped at the corners) better packaging is needed. Nice table though.
