Had a dent in the arm that looked like it occurred during shipping. Also, one of the short legs had a metal piece set a little crooked. I requested replacement parts and heard back within less than *two hours* that they would send the parts the same day they received my message. Thats great customer service and a company that cares.
As for everything else, the instructions arent difficult to follow, the frame is solid and sturdy, the mattress is comfortable, and it looks great. I was looking for something I could fold up out of the way for my office, but also be available for when my nephews visit. This is perfect.
I absolutely love my futon purchase. The frame is excellent quality and beautiful finish. The mattress is comfortable and the entire futon is just what I wanted. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the instructions for the futon frame was sort of unclear, the pieces that were shown didnt really match up to the pieces I had. But after some thought and a helping hand we finished the entire process in 2.5 hours. I would definitely recommend this futon to anyone looking for a sturdy, well built, comfortable futon.
So 90% of this frame can be put together by one person, even a weak one like me. But once the two primary pieces (the seat and the back) are assembled, you need two people to put the two parts together. The frame is heavy and sturdy. it can be tricky to put it into the bed from the seated position and vice versa, especially if your mattress is heavy, but it can be done with a bit of effort.
This seems to be a very good value. The wood is finger-jointed, the finish is is not top-shelf, and a few pieces had some minor scratches--mostly where theyll never show--but overall the quality is good, better than I expected for this price, the design is excellent, and it seems quite sturdy overall. Operation is straightforward. It has two sitting positions, one pretty upright, perfect for watching TV, and a more reclined one perfect for sleeping while pretending to watch TV. It does have to sit out about 9-10 from the wall if you want to fold it down without moving it. The queen size has a pretty high back, but I dont find it freakishly high, and I love that its the same size as all the other beds in the house. (Dont you love it when you unfold a fitted sheet only to find its the wrong size for the bed youre making?)
Assembly would be a nightmare for those who detest such projects. Personally I thought it was a lot of fun, but then Im one of those guys who used to build a lot of HeathKits. (For those under 60 you have no idea what you missed out on.) The instructions were quite clear and written in real English, but that said it would be easy to make a mistake and have the whole thing end in tears. My advice is to not be in a hurry, start in a good mood, and have at least one but no more than three beers while your doing it. Good luck and happy napping.

The mattress ships separately so there was a small panic on my part - but when it arrived it was the right color.
The smell is very strong and we needed to let it sit out and air out. But it is actually comfortable and worth it.
Bought this for my 18 year old son. It took us a few hours to assemble due to the only instructions you have are pictures and not actual wording. One of the middle boards was already broke so that was alittle bit of a disappointment. Mattress smells weird but we fixed that issue. Other than that not a bad choice for a teen/ young adult!!

Nice reward after the effort
My sofa bed to be. I just finished mounting it; instructions are clear and easy to follow step by step but it’s a bit overwhelming.
