The zipper on the cushion holding the parts broke within 5 minutes of owning it. I was able to fix it should have been a non/issue. Other than that, its a good chair
Our chair arrived packaged well, and all of the parts were there. To save space on Packaging, they put a bunch of the parts and Hardware inside the back cushion of the chair. Not a bad idea. Im guessing theyve had a lot of problems with people not being able to find the parts, because not only did they have a big message on the cardboard when you first open the box telling you to look in there, they have a bright red plastic streamer telling you the same thing. The chair assembled easy enough, being a fairly standard configuration. Thats a good thing because even though the multi/page instruction book was in several different languages, the actual instructions were a series of pictographs. Think Ikea furniture and youre probably on the right track. One person can assemble this by themselves, but I did require assistance a couple of times to try and hold things lined up to get bolts started. Something the instructions dont tell you is when you start putting the arms and back on, dont tighten your bolts all the way at first. Just turn them in a few threads to get them started. Youll need a little wiggle room to get the back lined up. Once you get everything started, it tightens up just fine and everything lines up well.
Comfort/wise, the padding is nice and firm, you dont feel like youre going to sink into it forever. The back feels very straight, almost like a 90 degree, and wifey mentioned that it would be better if it had a little tilt to it. It does have a tension adjustment on the bottom to set how much spring it has against leaning, but theres no adjustment for the back angle.
This is the office chair that works but isnt going to win awards for comfort. I included a picture of this chair vss Executive chair.
Its small but it definitely works. It will support your back and your butt.
It was easy to assemble. Took only about 20 min tops to put it together. Nicely packaged.
It will work well for a study desk without taking up a lot of space like the bigger chair.
First thing I will say after putting so many of this style of chair together do the wheels last.
It is just so much easier to get the chair screwed onto the lift without it rolling around.
Now the directions with this one are a tad odd.
They are way in the back of the book and right before it tells you not to tighten the ones for steps 9 and 10 and then to tighten the ones for 9 and 11.
Why not just say that on the page once you get to that point? Instead they have it in the beginning and honestly I didnt really pay much attention to that part anyway.
Easy to build this one alone. Only takes about 15 min.
One other thing once you zip the back up again after taking out the parts you can actually do it in a way to slide the pull into the fabric and not have it hanging out anymore.
This is a comfortable chair and glide up and do effortlessly.
I am average height so it fits me fine but others it might be too short as it is only a mid height in the back.
Overall am quite pleased with the quality of this one.
This chair is wonderful! It is softer than it looks and easily adjustable. Best of all assembly was a breeze. It might be a little heavy for some, so use care when assembling. There were just about 17 screws that needed to go in and they all can be installed with the handy Allen wrench that they include. The screws are all in little separate compartments in the pack and labeled making assembly even easier. The instructions, like allproducts, are perfectly written making everything a breeze!
Great quality, easy assembly, very stable, looks fantastic, we love it!
5 stars!
Since my son is getting older, Ive started tasking him with things hell need to be doing as an adult. Such as building computer chairs! This was the perfect opportunity for him to work on his skills. He was able to put it up without any real need for help. Only asked his older brother for help once, and it was just to hold the chair/back up while he screwed a piece in. Im not a huge fan of the brown, but its not the worst thing in the world. Its certainly better than his last chair, which was literally falling apart. Its also super comfortable as well.
This chair comes disassembled in a box so you have to assemble it. It took me about 30mn to get it fully mounted. It was relatively easy and all the necessary tools were provided.
Here is what I like about it:
/ Easy to assemble
/ Very comfortable because of the padding
/ Fair price (at less than 70)
/ Stable enough
Here is what I like less about it:
/ PU leather (Fake leather). I wont consider this in the final score because it is clearly indicated and in relation to the price.
/ Not enough modulability for the back rest.
In conclusion:
This desk chair has replaced the previous one because it is way more comfortable. It is a good entry price point chair.
4 stars.
Edit 04/21/2020
One of the wheel broke apart. I will try to get customer service to help me out with this. Until it is resolved, I changed my rating to 1 star.
Although I would say this chair is pretty nice, the first thing I will say about any PU leather chair is that they do not last all the long. The leather tends to crack and rip after maybe a year of use so be aware of that. Other than that this chair is actually pretty nice. If you are one who do not like having the arm rest on this, I would not recommend getting this as the arm rest are actually needed to hold this chair together. The arm rest do have padding on them so your elbows will not get hurt or sore being placed on this. The wheel movement across the floor is not exactly smooth or quiet (on wooden floor) but it can be moved around if needed. You can make adjustments to the chair to move up or down. It does lean back but there is no way to really adjust the chair to make it so that it leans forward towards your back. The chair is pretty comfortable and conforms to your butt pretty well. The chair is not too heavy and is something that can be carried up the stairs if needed (although use your own discretion when doing this). There are some downsides to a PU leather chair and that it does not have very good airflow so during the summer your sweat can really stick to this chair and wear down the leather faster. The padding under the leather also will most likely wear out pretty quick and eventually there will not be much cushion when sitting on this. The head rest is nice when you are leaning back though and provides pretty good neck and shoulder support. Assembling this chair was fairly easy as all you really need to the chair, legs, and arm rest. All of the tools are provided so you do not require any additional tools. You do need to apply some force when putting the arm rest onto the chair as it will actually pull the back of the chair in and it is like cranking a chain. Overall I do think this chair is pretty nice. It is comfortable, easy to assemble, the black color looks nice. The only issue I see is like with any PU chair, it will most likely crack and chip in the future and the padding on the chairs tend to lose its cushion pretty fast.
ThisBasic Padded Mid/Back Office Chair lives up to expectations as advertised in the item description. While not an exceptionally plush chair, it was not stated to be so. The chair is comfortable and functional with satisfactory padding for extended periods of sitting. Also key to being comfortable over extended periods is the molding of the seat and back by sections of heavy stitching used to shape and form a suitable configuration. As the stitching is heavy and secure, it appears to be very durable. Rollers slide smoothly across hard surfaces and appropriately easily on low/pile carpet, and the pneumatic adjustment works well to position both the chair and the occupant. Padding on the armrests is basic, as the name implies, yet again, adequate for comfort. Even assembly was pretty straightforward. As a sidenote, it was packaged so well that removing the parts of the chair from a box inside a box inside a box took some effort. Just be aware.
